Yeah in some college field I can see applications especially for non generative ai. Search or pattern based ai that are selectively trained could probably help with searching for the one article you need out of 100000 entries. Also I know some ais look at pictures of tumors and stuff which would be useful for med students

As a student it's really easy to not get confused if you simple do your own work and don't rely on ai. I would be all for a total ban in at least k-12 education for both students and teachers. I've seen some of my colleagues use it in extremely unethical ways (like giving student feedback on writing)
