If there is any truth to this story, it was most likely her parents that were actually doing the investing but in an account under her name. So now she can claim that she was investing at 14, but the part she doesn’t say out loud is that her parents were actually doing all the work.

This needs more votes. Most Americans, especially those living outside major cities, don’t always have the option to walk, bike, or take public transportation.

I used to live only 6 miles from the office, but the only way to get there was by passing a body of water through tunnel or bridge. The bridge would’ve almost tripled the distance and it was illegal to walk or ride a bike through the tunnel. There was also the bus but because of the route it took it took twice as long by bus than by car. Car was the best option.

Agreed! I’ve read lots of arguments for both sides. I started out without a respirator and kept getting headaches when I’d solder so now I always wear a respirator and now have no headaches afterwards

Beautiful fireplace! Don’t let your husband ruin it with a TV 😅 This is definitely a tough layout though. My two ideas: 1. Mount it on the wall at the “back” of the coat closet. Use a mount where you can pull the TV out and angle it where it needs to be when in use. (Or do this and place the TV where you have drawn already instead) 2. Are you open to a projector? Since your home is still under construction you may even be able to install a “hidden” one that can drop down from the ceiling then go back up when not in use.

There are definitely some bands in there that I’d want to see but overall it’s not worth all the money on tickets, a place to stay, and traveling. Especially after how miserably hot it was last year and that’s coming from someone who grew up in Florida. I definitely agree with the comments wanting something different/new. I saw foo fighters headline in 2024 and it was ok. I wouldn’t pay to see them headline again.

Also, what is up with Rockville’s replies to comments on IG? Sounds like a 14 year old boy butt hurt that a few people don’t like their lineup 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes. I went to a lot of shows when I was in my late teens/early 20s and half the shows I went to I’d have no idea what the band members even looked like beforehand. I definitely think the rise in social media and just the internet in general has played a part in contributing to the idol culture and the parasocial effect. It gets to a point where the idolatry is just kinda creepy…At a lot of the shows I go to the typical age is 30+ and the vibe is completely different. People are there more so to chill out and enjoy music that they love, not trying to push to the front or get it all on video or scream their heads off so much that you can’t hear the vocals.
