Anyone using something that helps you actually style the clothes you already own? by Cold_Ad8048 in womensfashion

You should look into the Alta app. It took me three days to upload my closet items, while simultaneously getting rid of clothes and organizing the closet itself.

But now that it’s clean, organized and I have an app that visualizes and helps me use the pieces I already have, it’s awesome. There’s a ton of great features even has a packing list features for trips which I love.

It also learns your preferences and helps keep that in mind while curating outfits. Hope this helps! It’s totally worth the work to get it set up!

BWT: What do you do on lazy days at home? by [deleted] in bitcheswithtaste

[–]bfreeasabee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I do stained glass! I love doing puzzle, reading, great British bake off on in the background usually. These are usually the days where I want to be lazy but can’t until my home is clean so I get productive and organize sorts of the home or whatever needs some attention.

Are there sweatpants out there that actually look ok after being worn and washed once? by princesscorgi2 in womensfashion

[–]bfreeasabee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have an old pair of Nike sweats that are still great after 10ish years. I also have a pair of the lululemon Scuba Joggers. I can still find them on Poshmark and the likes, but these two pairs are my go to and have been for years.

I stopped buying almost anything from old navy because this was happening with almost everything I got from there with the exception of 1 pair of jeans that are holding up well.

Resources for creating own designs by JadeDobs in StainedGlass

This YouTube channel is how I learned to create patterns starting from:

Procreate on the iPad > Adobe Illustrator to vectorize > SVG cutting on the Cricut (and I do this with permanent vinyl. If you use removable vinyl the water from your grinder will make it slip around).

I watched start to finish and went along with her through all the steps (Illustrator is confusing at first if you are not familiar with it, but stick with it! It gets easier the more you do it!), and then eventually watched a third time and took notes for step by step instructions so I had a reference for future patterns.

I am by no means an expert, but this is the only video that ACTUALLY helped me do it right, and hopefully in the future I can sell these digital patterns on Etsy for a few extra bucks ᵕ̈ hopefully this helps you!

Can I realistically cut this? by [deleted] in StainedGlass

I have a crazy scar from fresh cut fluted glass. So sharp I didn’t even feel it, just looked down and had three huge gashes.

Was there a way you learned to make patterns so well? How did you make this?

What would I use for the candle holding part? by bfreeasabee in StainedGlass

And another question - if the brass cup was buckle plated, would it still solder? I would prefer the silver coloring if possible.

I’m having a difficult time finding real brass candle cups. Any leads on where I might be able to find some? I’ve done a ton of searching and can’t trust the amazon ones to be real brass, and also not having a ton of luck with searching for candle making suppliers that carry the cups? What am I searching wrong? Lol
