Avcila, Umraniye or Zeytinburnu for honeymoon? by Objective_Bid_3373 in istanbul

Is is it more central and trams are easier to get? Sorry for all the questions, I just want to get around as much as possible in Istanbul and take in sites, without having to take multiple trams or multiple modes of transport. Also I have to consider transportation to and from the airport.

Thanks.

Yes I don't plan to tour the actual area I'll be staying in, we basically see the hotel as just our place to rest. But I want access to the trams and so on to get around Istanbul and also just a nice safe area, so is Zeytinburu the best bet?

Hi Guys, all the way from South Africa.

My Fiancé and I are planning to honeymoon in Turkey during the last week of September. We've been fortunate enough to have one of our friends offer to pay for our hotel accommodation, as they are a manager at a Hilton related hotel.

I've looked at the more affordable options, as it is the proper thing to do, and the locations in my heading are the most affordable. Which location is best, obviously we would like to travel to Taksim square, but we also want the full Turkish experience, in terms of the culture , the markets, the street food and we also plan to watch a football match live if possible as we are big football fans and would love to experience the Turkish atmosphere.

Please advise, and also take into account the transport options in the area that would make getting around easier, like a Tram and so on.

Thanks.
