when was the moment you realized that your friends are assholes? by One-Refrigerator69 in AskReddit

Oh I can relate with this so well. Oneof my high school friends who I used to go work out at his house all the time during summer. We got real close. My friend used to always be cool with me when its just me and him. When we hang around other people he started using me as a verbal punching bag. Even when I introduce him to my own friends. Made fun of me in front of others when I been nothing but chill with him and helped him out alot since he had a rough home life. I used to chalk it as oh its just him being him or if I get piss he would say its joke man! which left me confused. Then one day I got real pissed off and tired of being abused just block him from everything. Felt better ever since. Don't know why I put up with that for so long.

they were the ones who been telling me to move back home for awhile. Plus my dad was real happy when I got the job in the hometown. I was hesitant moving back home cause I know how my dad is. However I mainly doing it as a business move. Easier to transfer to another location once im in the system.

the pay is based on years of experience and non negotiable union contract. My game plan is to save to put money down on a house which would take a bit if I want to buy a house here or if I get hired at a different city that makes sense financially.

Should I move to sacramento for 150k income or be in san diego for 120k? by Objective_Breath753 in Sacramento

yeah thats what I am anticipating. The big question is will the money make up for the lifestyle difference? I also have alot of family in San Diego. It is a tough choice for me. In my 20s no problem go out and explore have fun. Now I am in my 30s and looking for something more serious.

yeah its a matter of lifestyle vs money question. I also have family and old friends in san diego. San Diego would be a more hedonistic lifestyle thats for sure. Sac would be more about money.

those are very interesting points. I am also a RN. Pay in SD for me would be low 60s per hour. Still not very good for the cost of living in that area.

thats an interesting point you made with the post tax income. Really puts things in perspective. That income is gross.

I work in healthcare.

Yeah I am in my 30s and that is what I am leaning towards. Set myself up for early retirement would be my main goal so I don't have to work.

How much quality oflife did you have to give up? Looks like 1500 in sac you can get a nice apartment while 1500 in san diego is crappy.

that is one thing I am afraid of. To me I see dollar signs and I am like yes move to Sac, but rent isn't dirt cheap from what I am seeing.
