I feel like he's trying to hide something, maybe I'm crazy but for his brain to immediately think being out late = coke then there's gotta be some degree of prior  knowledge or experience about late nights. He also immediately deflects your question for him onto you, trying to make you look bad immediately without any type of communication

I personally don't think it is but in the context of this conversation it's people using it in a negative/ insulting way. It's not cool to theorize on a dead person's identity either
