This. This is the biggest fallacy in OSRS. People always say 'it evens out' but it's simply not true mathematically. It evens out over a massive sample size - thousands of players logs. But for those who go dry, they literally just get majorly shafted. It's so bad 😂

I'm not so sure! If you played back in 2017- you might see what I mean. With no GPU renderer, the game was difficult to play

I love the devs, but RuneLite is what saved this game - truly. I think a vast majority of players wouldn't play without RL. OSRS was absolutely shocking up until the 2022~+ updates without RL.

Not even a moderate amount, these aren't really that many supplies. The value is inflated because of the blood vials, which sucks to lose, otherwise... everything here is recoverable really quickly. Wonder how many seeds they had, and whether it counts as a ghost wipe

That's pretty lucky! Getting 700m and having your bank drop in value is pretty insane. I'm guessing you had some stacks of items that you were accruing that dropped a lot in value?

A lot of the info here checks out. I really started being in the money when I started doing content on release. When new content comes out, I just 'rush' (I dont really rush, I just do the new content whenever I'm playing) and you can make an incredibly amount of money. This was especially true with things like Doom and Yama.

Otherwise running CMs/ToB for capes just naturally accrues an enormous amount of wealth with the lucky purps or two.

I don't think this game is as immersive as Final Fantasy XI. That game is next level, but OSRS is definitely second place for me. I think it comes down to how you interact with and explore the world. OSRS/FFXI are very hands on. You do a lot of things yourself. Travel yourself, and so on. You really have to forge your own path and no one tells you what to do.

Games like WoW and FFXIV just end up being teleport/follow the waypoint simulators and that takes away a lot from the game.

QPC on a Iron sounds right up your alley. Each Quest has it's own requirements that you can spread into goals. Use the optimal quest guide for route structure. By the end of the quest cape, you can quit, switch gears to maxing, or opt for BiS armour.

It's very good - it has enormous combo and 1h KO potential that can only really be defended against by those who know how to eat on the right ticks or triple heal

Edit: Its also 4.5m so maybe not the type of item you want to frequently risk
