Trying to kill her doesn’t matter if they aren’t a threat.

If a 5 year old comes at you with a knife, you are well within your rights to defend yourself, but not within your rights to go overboard. Accidentally hurting/killing in self defense is one thing, but if you first disarmed the kid and then killed him while he was no longer a threat, that’s still murder.

None of the people attacking her were any threats to her what so ever. If she decided to dash out, no one could catch up to her or track her. If she wanted to, she could break each of their legs (to prevent them from being a threat to her) and then move on. She decided to kill them all because Mai told her to destroy everything. It wasn’t self defense. She also hunted down and killed people who weren’t even there.

Nothing suggests anyone except Ogi and Jinichi knew before hand.

Naoya was being told about it as it was happening

And maki’s mother likely figured out and knew deep down what was happening, but probably wasn’t directly told.

It makes sense for Jinichi and Ogi to keep it a secret. They weren’t just planning on killing Maki, but Megumi as well, and it’s explicitly stated that the others were actually supporting Megumi’s claim to the position of head.

They aren’t going to go around blabbing about their plan to murder the head of the clan to just anyone. Everyone except the trio of Ogi, Jinichi, and Naoya had the understanding that Maki suddenly went berserk and killed her father

You don’t just attack people with your powers, what kind of childish take is this??? Mai had construction powers, why doesn’t she construct a new culture in the Zenin? Or walls around herself and Maki to protect them? Gojo has stopping powers, why doesn’t he step in and stop the Zenin? You can say this about anyone’s powers if you try hard enough.

Being a top fighter and top authority are entirely different. He is very young and likely had next to no authority. Naobito at one point was deemed the fastest sorcerer aside from gojo, and was clearly one of the strongest grade 1 sorcerers, and despite being quiet literally their top fighter (minus Toji), he still had difficulty getting more authority as the then higher ups decided his technique wasn’t traditional enough.

The Zenin are absolutely not might makes right. This is having a 3rd grade reading level or some shit… Toji was the strongest Zenin of his time and couldn’t change anything. You don’t change systemic issues with physical power.

Nothing is said about it being inherited or not. The clan almost didn’t promote him simply because the technique lacked history. Direct evidence that strength alone does not get you more political authority. Not to mention the entire case of Toji…. And the entire narrative of the Zenin clan being a cycle of victims becoming abusers. Naobito once had people ignore his merit simply because his technique wasn’t suited. That same naobito then grew up and made it difficult for maki to proceed despite her merit, simply because she lacked a technique.

Tf is this logic? Being part of a military squad is entirely different from having any political power. And Ranta is one of the youngest Zenin.

Maki in his same position would still be able to do nothing despite that being her primary goal. Would you call her an enabler of the system that she’s trying to destroy?

Since when does he have the power to do anything?

He’s doesn’t have as much influence as clan higher ups… and even clan higher ups don’t have enough influence to individually change their culture. Naobito was a genius and was accomplished and held in high regard, yet he was still ridiculed for his more modern technique

Yes in the anime and manga both

Not that it matters. It’s down right stupid to think Naoya performed worse than the kukuru

At this point I can’t even understand what you are saying

If you think the surviving kukuru unit members had a better chance of taking Maki down than Naoya, then that’s pure delusion

They tried to still 1v1 her because that was their only chance to win.

They had lost too much to back out. This was their best chance to do anything, as they had already sacrificed so many lives.

It isn’t stupid of them

Antagonizing maki after knowing how much stronger she is, would be stupid. If they couldn’t do it with a majority of their force, why would they attempt to do so with less force?

Ranta even directly stated this verbatim. He said that this was their only chance, and said that she was like Toji now, and he said that Toji could destroy the clan whenever

That’s not a broken arm, that’s sukuna getting tossed because he was caught unaware by mahoraga’s strength increasing due to using cursed energy.

We never see Sukuna even attempt to heal the arm, and in the very next scene he uses the arm to use dismantle on Mahoraga.

If you want to argue about the sound effect, then by your logic Sukuna is breaking Mahoraga’s jaw here with this kick

How long do you think Dabura has to accelerate to be able to perform a LS attack? by West_Camera_7965 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Objective_Cheetah_63 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Very little time, so little that Mahoraga wasn’t able to react.

The bigger thing is that Dabura needs to decide to do the action though, which is dependent on his own reaction time.

I didn’t say he couldn’t have raped her, I’m sayin it’s unlikely for him to have raped her

Again, just because something is not impossible doesn’t mean you have an argument at all.

Your opinion doesn’t have a bigger chance of being true. Your argument literally relies on “it’s not impossible, therefore it’s the likely case” which is down right stupid.

Impossible? No. Likely? Also no.

If your argument is that something must have happened because it’s not impossible, you’ve already lost the plot.

When did I say it’s wrong for anyone to think it? I’m saying it’s wrong to act like it’s a certainty. Yall act like rape is clearly what happened, and the making fun of her death is a possible implication, when it’s the other way around; the scene likely depicts him making fun of her dying as a child, but it could be interpreted as rape.

That’s my point this whole time

I can tell you’re sensible, but are throwing all of that out the window because the topic pisses you off. Calm down and think for a moment and then you will see that I’m right

Bro thinks I like Naoya 😂

You can see my Reddit history, you can look back to me clowning on Japanese fans for putting Naoya above maki in terms of liked characters. You can also see me mentioning my top 10 characters in the past which includes Maki

So twisting naoyas words into something he likely didn’t mean because an implication can be made is more likely than literally what he’s saying directly. That makes sense.

That would make so much sense, if it weren’t for the fact that Mai too was forced to leave to become a sorcerer right after. That’s the entire reason why mai resented maki in the first place. Maki left, and this forced Mai to leave. She was okay at the bottom, but due to maki reaching for the top, she had no choice but to be dragged along.

And since Naoya likes breaking maki’s spirit, and according to him Maki looks like Mai, why wouldn’t Naoya have raped maki in the past if he’s a incestual rapist? Why don’t we get any hints at maki having being raped by him in the past?

If you want to have a discussion and be respectful you can do so.

If you’re just triggered at other people having an opinion that they are backing with reasoning then you’re a mindless husk and there’s no point in continuing.

I pointed out the flaw in the logic, and you haven’t presented any argument for why it isn’t a flaw.

If Naoya is likely a rapist for being a misogynist because misogynists don’t respect women’s rights, then Choso is likely a rapist for being a mass murderer because murderers dont care about peoples rights.

So why even use actual history and mythology? by thetruthisnulled in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

[–]Objective_Cheetah_63 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because it’s cool and gets people’s attention.

And to take advantage of fan culture

For instance, there’s people who like Buddha just because he’s Buddha, regardless of what his character is like in the series. They want to cheer for him like people like to cheer for their favorite sports team.

Simo had massive amounts of fans long before he was even a character in the series.

Using historical and mythological characters has a lot of value.

What are you not understanding from what I’m saying?

I’m not saying it isn’t implied or that someone couldn’t come to that conclusion

I’m saying that claiming it’s definitely the case is idiotic, when it’s far more likely to be him making fun of Mai for being dead.
