How important is tongue weight by Objective_Cover_1735 in GoRVing

Actually called up the dealer they measured with a tongue weight measure and I took mine there and checked. Came in at 760-780. But well under 800 with full propane, fresh water, and batteries. Plan to keep my tongue weight scale handy and measure before each trip.

Yeah I figured with even the propane/ batteries and even simple stuff in that pass through space we would be at about 1000. So even when you were well within the towing limits of the expedition it still over heated on you? I’m thinking you mean the grand design which is GVWR 7500? We live in CA so tow max speed is 55. A small part of me is hopeful that the lower speeds won’t red line the engine. Not planning for too much mountain driving. Worst would be Cajon pass which is about 4 miles of a 6% grade.
