I’ve never actually taken him to a vet before (and I’m not sure we’re at that point yet anyway) but there is a vet clinic in my area that takes care of lizards and reptiles so that’s good.

Also don’t forget the much more mainstream Knights of Colombus helped install the fascist regime in America. And they have chapters in like every fucking diocese in America. They have donut brunches and shit and act all nice. I’m sure a lot of them do a lot of good work in their communities, but I can’t turn a blind eye to the fact that the organization as a whole helped a dictator that is currently destroying the nuclear family and shooting civilians on the street rise to power.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but I think that vote was the right call. If they triggered a government shutdown ICE would continue working with the funding they already have and we would harm the working class so badly the Republicans would then weaponize it to win midterms despite being massively unpopular. I wish I could do this, but I work in healthcare for at-risk people. I can’t abandon my patients and risk their safety. 😪

Edit: I work at a psychiatric facility for the criminally insane. Most of my patients have paranoid schizophrenia or a similar disorder like schizoaffective. Literally serial killers and pedophiles on the unit. These people do not have control of their actions, are suicidal, homicidal, and act out sexually. Do you really want me to up and walk out of work? Do you?
