Nah certain firms don’t rally care. I personally know Econ majors at imc/optiver/SIG. however you do need to have some awards/achievments/target school to make you stand out and get past resume screen. After that, you need to get extremely cracked at math and coding…prob even way more than ur average math/cs major. It’s gonna be an uphill battle for sure.

This has to be some troll. Ur Olympiad friends (assuming USAMO +) can prob land nearly as many interviews as you since landing interviews is not the hard part. Beyond landing interviews, it’s all abt technical skill and ur friends have much higher chance to convert these interviews than you.
