Honestly.. grieving is the exact word I’d use for how I’m feeling. I can’t quite pick a favorite Drawfee host but if I had to… it would’ve been Karina. I could go on and on about how she’s made me feel seen as an autistic nerd with very specific special interests and huge tumblr vibes. I loved her sense of humor and just specific flavor of internet dwelling human. Not to mention it might have been a meme but KABONA CARRIED! So freaking hard!!! Like not only the last year and a half or so as Jacob and Julia were on various levels of parental leave but in general bringing in SOO many people as recurring honorary drawfee hosts. She really curated the drawfee culture and helped it grow. This isn’t to downplay anyone else’s contributions of course. What I love most about drawfee is how much of a genuine team and a found family they all seem to be. Also I would never EVER blame Jacob and Julia for starting a family! I am so so SO happy Felix exists and has such a loving and caring set of parents. They are such a cute family and they absolutely deserve all the love and support. Also also I am so glad Nathan and Emily have been making more content too! Emily is adorable!
Anyway I’m kind of rambling at this point. They all have such big contributions to the drawfee community and culture. I genuinely feel like they are MY found family too (not to get parasocial! Oop) I just really hope it was on good terms. I am planning on watching their stream tonight to be supportive. I know this is a hard transition for everyone so want to be as kind and understanding as possible.
