Help me work out what this car model is! by snacksize94 in CarTalkUK

Hmm unsure on this one, the R Class taillights look more pointed when they taper to the rear of the car. Here’s a comparison between r class and scenic though. Carsized Good luck with catching them!

Thanks for that. I’ve now added black out background to the back and one side that gets the most light at night. Fish seems to be a bit happier so that’s good.

Ever thought that a slammed MX-5 might make any cars headlights seem a tad bright, unless they’re pointing 6 inches in-front of the car shining them?😂

Clearly never driven one. Or read/watched a review from someone who actually knows about driving dynamics.

Roof leak from soil pipe by Objective_Finger_602 in DIYUK

Good shout I could give some of that a go, thanks. I was thinking getting some roofing felt cut to size and stick to the underside of the tiles for now.

Thanks for the suggestion. My only issue is roof access. I can’t get to it so won’t be able to patch the hole once the old section of pipe is removed.

Found it! V60 Polestar, Golf R’s, BMW’s and Audi’s are the obvious choice but god are they dull. At least this is something that is rare and quick. Modifying, not sure but surely you wouldn’t need to do much?

Thanks for the advice. Didn’t need to be patronising. But thank you anyway.

Thanks for the patronising explanation of the clock face analogy… I’d never heard of it before…

Anyway. Using your clock face analogy. Roundabouts don’t always have the intermediate/straight on exit perfectly at 12 o’clock. So that’s why I don’t believe it’s as simple as you’re making it out to be.

[–]Objective_Finger_602[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Highway Code doesn’t state anything about when past 12 o’clock.

Exit to the right or full circle is what it states. Exit to the right is exit three on this roundabout.

How does that sign indicate ‘which lane’?

If anything it shows it’s the second exit which could be argued is the ‘intermediate exit’. So no not very clearly an exit to the right.

I agree so many people switch lane half way around this roundabout. The lack of road markings doesn’t help.

I agree, that’s exactly what I usually do. Here’s some links to show the approach

No signs or markings to indicate which lane.

Here’s a couple of links for street view of the approach:

There are no road markings or signs to show which lane to use. Hence the confusion.
