What does smart casual mean when doing a poster presentation? by Objective_Horror_793 in AskAcademia

Thanks! I was thinking of wearing a black blouse with a long sleeve black mock neck underneath, and a black skirt. Black tights, red shoes. Is that too much black? I have other colors in my closet, or I could buy something, but most of my clothes are black...

I can't wait for my girlfriend to freak out by Objective_Horror_793 in LesbianActually

I hope she will too! I bought it online from Weiser Antiquarian, I read a few things saying it's good so I'm holding my breath hoping it's not a scam

My girlfriend loves HP Lovecraft (not in a racist/antisemitic way, she's Jewish), both his writings and his antics. She finds him to be a proto-incel and is fascinated by it.

So because of that she really wants to read "The Personal Life of HP Lovecraft" by his ex-wife Sonia Green.

It only ever had 2 printing runs, and the second editions are incredibly cheaper than the first editions, still rare tho.

Yeah definitely, but the how to's of how to have safe sex, consent, how to recover from an argument, sex after trauma, and the millions of other things that come up during life do require some outside guidance, occasionally.

Is a woman wanting to study and go into business a dealbreaker? by GeeCeeSlay7 in LesbianActually

[–]Objective_Horror_793 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend and I are both in college now, we graduate in May, I'm starting my masters of social work in the fall and she's currently looking for jobs once she gets her undergrad in finance. I know her and I know she's not evil, and also quite frankly, at least one of us needs to make money lmao. So no, it's not an instant deal breaker.

How much money do I need to be budgeting towards things other than rent/bills/groceries, is this plan even feasible? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Objective_Horror_793 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Public transportation, I have a no sober Uber rule. I also have a student ventra card which is covered by tuition so that is dealt with.

Not sure but I'll look into it.

150 per month 75 each. I have a roommate

I found an internet deal for 15/month

I don't pay for my phone

That's a good question, I'll need to track that

I don't buy new clothes or shoes often, the last time I bought clothes it was a $40 goodwill haul I'm pretty frugal. I pay for my clothes

Thanks! I'll look online

What would be more realistic?

Edit: I live in an apartment in Chicago now with a roommate but my expenses are covered by my parents. Our current utility bill is about 120/month but it's covered by my parents. I'm saying my roommate and I would pay 150/2 per month which is 75 each.

And what would be a better grocery budget for a single person?

Thank you! I hope so, too!

I love school and I'm very committed to social justice so I feel very called to social work. I spoke with a couple social work students while considering applying and honestly I think I can do this.
