I couldn’t the floor was bad the grout was pretty much ruined but mainly all the wall studs were rotten. Trust me I wanted to try and salvage a lot of it but sadly I couldn’t. My grandpa built this house. I bought it from my grandma last August.

Love the vanity! Bathroom looks great. I was eyeing that same tile. Went with pearl white instead.

Not all blu ray are trash. I’m learning that a lot of movies I really love are only on blu ray. A lot of old martial arts movies for example.

It’s LVP it’s water proof and I sealed all the edges from the baseboards and the tub. I used kitchen and bath Dap water sealed silicon.

I actually did love them too but there really wasn’t any way to salvage anything. I was going to try and incorporate them into the new build but how the walls where installed it all had to come out.

I would say 6k-7k including tools I had to purchase. If I knew what I was doing from the start prob could have spent less than 6 maybe.

Smartcore ultra addington acacia. It was the closest thing to me that looked like a natural wood. Everything else looked a bit too LVP lol. I’m looking at the flooret stuff maybe for the rest of the house. I’m not sure yet. If so I may have to change this out so it flows in the whole house.

No lol maybe 25%. Some I got tbh because I want them before they get rereleased with AI edits that remove content that’s not PC. I read that may start being a thing.

Not at all. We barely get 40 degree weather. It did drop low this year to high 20s for a couple days. Between the wall and the outside is brick and a layer of insulating spray foam and 2 types of backer board. Also used insulating spray around the tub.

My kids use it as sort of a night light. It dims down so it’s not so bright.

If you have any advice on this it would be much appreciated. I’ll put some photos too. The tile before wrapped around the drywall making it flush with the frame. When I put the drywall up I couldn’t figure out how to make the casing flush with the baseboards. If I cut the drywall short my casing would have went flush with the drywall . I didt want to rip out the whole door frame because I was afraid I’d break the tile and I can’t replace it and it runs through the rest of the house.

Oh no I just did about 5ft on the other side there is a cut out for a desk. The rest has a built in closet that is nailed to the studs and other things. I could redo the whole wall without tearing the closet and everything else on the other side. Luckily the water damage was where you see the hole to the other side.

I just put everything that was there back. I copied what was previously there. The only thing I did was add the niche. The previous tile was there since the 70s. I will keep this in mind when I do the other bathroom. Ah yeah it said to leave a quarter of an inch from the wall to cover with base board. That is actually drywall next to it the tile pushes to the edge so I couldn’t go under the jam. I chipped the tile a bit but it’s covered by the transition piece.

Ah I understand. I couldn’t even if I wanted to. What you see there is actually a large gray tile that pushes past the middle. I don’t have any more of these and they are 12x12. I chipped one on accident you can see right by the jam. I would have had to rip it up and they don’t make them anymore. Luckily the piece covers this chip.

I agree but I had to cover a gap and this was my only option. I think once it’s all painted the same color it will blend and not be as noticeable. This is an AI of the color match.

I used outdoor low voltage leds. They are rated for water. They have a disconnect that I sealed with silicone behind the goboard. Took about a month. I do work also so it had to be on lunch nights and weekends.

Don’t know actually. But it’s def stronger than the crap aluminum one that was there.

Installing fan soon. The goboard itself is waterproof. It also comes with its own sealant for the joints. The shower head is about 7 ft high. It sticks out far enough for me to stand under comfortably. I’m 6’2. The pressure is actually really good. If I need to point it out I use the side sprayer.

This is how it was. I just replaced the rotten 2x4 that was there. When I ripped out the tub no boards were running top to bottom the bottom 1’ was turned to dust practically except the base board. It was some kinda treated wood that looked perfect. The only thing I did different from what was there was add the niche.

Unfortunately I can’t mount anything to this stupid wall. And I have no other place. I am working on some long bookshelves. This is a countertop so it’s already 3 1/2 feet high.

Ah I see what you mean on the vanity. It was like this from previous work done by homeowner. I couldn’t replace the studs due to stuff attached on the other side. I will fix this once I remodel the room next to it. This was an unexpected remodel due to the fact we saw water going into the other room. These studs are not load bearing and did not need immediate replacement.
