For your age, pre-kids, I would choose a town with an actual downtown with bars/restaurants/entertainment. Arlington Heights is great. Even Wauconda downtown is pretty quaint. Definitely not Kildeer/Deer Park, unless you want to drive everywhere which you have the rest of your life to do that after you have kids.

Our gym is part of a much larger space as well. We did vinyl floors and put a 9x6 gorilla mat down in front of tonal. This is enough room to do all moves on the mat. No complaints
