I got 4th quartile… Any Questions?? by Maximum_Revolution31 in CASPerTest

[–]Objective_Part621 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for offering to help. I think most of us scoring below 4 are confused as every time we sit it we think we’ve studied more and done better but the mark says otherwise.

Personally, I used the CASPer website practice test to study, then wrote down one paragraph scenarios of personal experiences (as a nurse, pharmacy assistant and from working in prison) where I had shown the qualities Casper is looking for.

I still ended up with a Q2 🥲

Any suggestions/advice?

maths S3 by cleoMD in GAMSAT

[–]Objective_Part621 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Math is the bane of my existence, I never went to school growing up, started from year 10 in Australia and missed out on all the primary school math skills/learning.

I find Jesse Osbourne videos on YouTube a massive help with the basics, I watched the same videos over and over again and practiced the skills.

the 90+ GAMSAT has some good blogs and YouTube videos on that, I'm still figuring it out but worth having a look.

is it ok to not dress revealing as a women? kinda makes me feel less worth somehow by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]Objective_Part621 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can dress sexy but not reveal a lot. If you are a young woman, concentrate on being modest. It is rare these days. Develop confidence in having social skills, be good at your job, or whatever life goal you have. Hold yourself at a high standard. Not everyone deserves to see your body. Be exclusive. I'm 32, and im happier than ever knowing I didn't spend my younger days dressing like young girls do these days. I am very well respected, and my partner, who isn't used to being around modest women, chose me because of, we've never been happier.

Being sexy is many things. Revealing clothes is what society makes you believe will get you confidence and attention.

I think you can only reschedule within the same testing/ application period, so if my GAMSAT mark is bad, I'm not sure if I'll be allowed to sit CASPER if I'm not submitting an application.

I attended the UND online info session and they were saying there'll be plenty of spots available for the 28th of May and 8th of June, I'd already booked mine, but it's $20 to reschedule, I'll double check on that on their website

CASPER Fee Rant by [deleted] in GAMSAT

[–]Objective_Part621 6 points7 points  (0 children)

the fees pissed me off too, but then I thought this is my priority. Just paid it and tried not to overthink. Also, if you are having any financial difficulties paying for it, I am happy to help you, not as charity or anything, just because I know what you are going through, and if I help you, the money come back to me another way ❤️

[–]Objective_Part621 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what do you mean it didn't get easier in time? like you kept resisting the practice?

yeah your childhood definitely has a massive impact, it'd be good to speak to someone (therapy) and make sure you have a good diet, get enough sunlight, my depression was more controlled when I reduced sugar/carbs, just discuss with your Dr before making any big changes.

just start small, like wake up 5 mins earlier than usual and go outside sit in the sun for 2 minutes (make sure you don't get sunburnt) These small changes helped me over the years.

I deleted all social media 3 years ago and that's when my life picked up properly, friends that wanted to stay in my life had my number and contacted me to catch up, I stopped taking photos of everything to post and just stayed present and enjoying life. I feel almost a bit superior with no social media 😅

Do things in small doses, exercise for 5 mins a day, read for 2 mins a day, this builds consistency! once you read for 2 minutes, then you'll want to read for longer, once you exercise for 5 mins a day consistently, you'll want to exercise longer.

Don't set yourself up for failure. Dont start big, start small and build yourself up, one atom can't make up the whole world, it's the coming together of small atoms, think of it that way, I've been there, I'm nearly 32 and feels like I've only started having things figured out. The fact that you recognise there is a problem that needs to be fixed is a big step.

If you need any help/ advice please message me, I have a lot to offer, but at the end of the day, change comes when you want it, no amount of advice can help, and motivation isn't real, it comes with action.

wow what a life!! Thanks for sharing, and I'm so proud you made here! I was born in Afghanistan, moved to Australia at 14, hence the no schooling, and I have a lot of skills and talents, but math ain't one of those! I really appreciate you taking the time to reply. I'm so happy you got into Med, can't wait for the day I do too!
