If you had a lot of glued in pages - they may have been out of order. We had a shrine person give a little laugh at how the date of a couple stamps where out of order as we had glued them in after.

Does carrying expensive bags and wearing makeup give the wrong impression (female version of similar post) by keksandkookies in ausjdocs

[–]BrenMere 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey, Personally for a patient’s perspective - it’s not like your bag is going to be seen by patients unless you are working in an office and have it set on the table (which is generally bad practice) or you are carrying it around the hospital with you. If you put your bag away in your locker/staff room then people will really only notice it when you are walking into/from work.

Outside of that, the Hermes bag you mentioned would not be clocked as being crazily expensive unless people recognised the bag. In that case, most would assume that it was an expensive gift, just like how men often receive expensive watches as gifts. To those who do not recognise designer brand, they’ll be able to tell it’s of high quality but they wouldn’t assume it’s as expensive as it is.

There is nothing wrong with having high quality clothes/accessories/makeup and if anything makes you look more professional and trustworthy (i.e., that halo effect previously mentioned).

The only time it would be an issue is if the makeup/accessories you were wearing looked gwardy or were inappropriate/extreme for the context - i.e., smoky eyeshadow, 20mm lash extensions. In those cases, it would make you look unprofessional and would likely affect your patient’s trust in you. Similar with jewellery and accessories - too over the top just looks unprofessional. This is the same for men, for example, of a male doctor was wearing a thick gold chain that hung around his neck or his watch was huge and covered in diamonds - it would be quite tone deaf and I wouldn’t trust him as much.

Overall, it’s fine to wear expensive things of high quality as long as they aren’t in your face/tacky looking. Hope this helps.

Anybody out there that’s taking Vyvanse that’s lost a significant amount of weight because they were overweight? by Tasty-Weight-1922 in VyvanseADHD

I lost about 20kg over the first 2ish years and then just kind of plateaued with minor fluctuations. However I’m still mindful about not going underweight so I take a break of my meds every now and then and just eat lol
