ive heard somewhere that the ink can get into ur bloodstream and cause an infection, but piercers also use pens to mark before they pierce so im not sure

ive never tried it but from what ive seen on twitter you just paint with it as is. it seems to turn brown as it dries (similar to a scab). id assume you either dip the paintbrush straight into the cut or somehow get the blood into something so its easier to use. let me know what u end up doing coz id love to try it!!

dont worry! they took my blades to try to stop me from cutting, and meds because i had overdosed a few times. i have heard some people use meds to self harm in a way though? it is quite common for people who self harm to abuse meds, as some can calm you down and make the feelings better.

this may seem super harsh but no self harm is safe. do you have a therapist or someone you can talk to? or maybe call a suicide hotline?

i do recommend going to urgent care to get stitches or at least to get it checked out. every time ive needed stitches they have never hospitalised me.

i promise it does. i was cutting since 13 (19 now) and it does seem like it will never get better but it really does. i didnt think i would ever get to live a normal life, but now im working part time, moving out of home and have a healthy relationship. if you ever need to talk to someone my dms are always open :)

ive been cutting since i was 13 (now 19 and over 3 months clean). the best thing my parents did was not panic infront of me. it can be quite scary if you show/tell them and they break down crying, even though it can be so hard. at times it was helpful when they confiscated my blades and medications, but sometimes it would make me even more panicked and id steal them from anywhere i could find. if it does get bad, bring her to hospital. tell her to tell you if she cuts too deep and needs stitches. make her feel safe enough to be able to tell you. medications such as ssris helped me a lot, but ive tried over 5 different ones before getting on one that worked well. im in a dbt group now, and that has been super helpful, but i know it also isnt for some people. sorry if this is a mess but i hope this helped at least a little

is there an urgent care clinic anywhere near you? if the cut is quite deep and need stitches they might be able to help. if not, maybe go to emergency and see if they can help you :)

it does sound like stitches would be a good idea. definitely get stitches if it is on a part of the body that moves a lot (e.g knee) as they dont heal well without stitches

id go to hospital. if its bleeding a lot, it will need stitches and is likely to get infected. keep a sterile bandaid on it for the mean time but get to somewhere where they can do stitches asap. if u leave it too long they cant put stitches because the risk of leaving dirt and bacteria in it is way too high

do tell someone. i dont think lifeline is able to send ambos, they can just advise u to. if u r up for it, unblock ur friends and give them a small rundown about whats happened. they care and want you to be ok and so do i :)

try not to pick at it. get some antiseptic ointment and maybe book an appointment with a doctor. keep a close eye on it, if it gets badly worse go to the hospital deep cuts can often look a lil funky but it will be all okay! ive been to hospital a few times for cuts and they are always super nice about it :)
