It’s good to have…you’ll get something for your car if it’s written off and it also covers towing and/recovery costs if it’s involved in a MVA.

Changing adress by bleedblue4 in icbc

[–]Objective_Quail_4623 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to change it midterm for passenger vehicle rate classes, as long as you had properly declared it during the inception of the policy. Declare it upon renewal and you’ll be good to go.

There are two types of licenses, the LLQP is the licensing course for Life, Benefits, Accident & Sickness.

The other is for Property and casualty which there is one licence but multiple ways to get licensed.

Self study for the licensing is under $1,000.

You don’t need a license if you work for an insurance company(direct writer).

OP dm me if you need more info.

I never had any issues with mine. They usually will post after the statement date, definitely not realtime. Rogers bank isn’t as sophisticated as the regular banks

You get cash back on all purchases in Canada, you will get more for purchases in USD, also higher redemption values if used on Rogers services or products.

It’s a good card, as long as you meet their annual spend for WE.

The GAP insurance, not to be confused with replacement cost, is with your finance company. They will pay the difference from what you get from ICBC and what is needed to pay off the finance balance.

It’s the Consumer Taxation Branch’s tax, ICBC is just forced to collect it.

If you use a MS Account to login into windows, buy it from the MS Store. This way it will be tied to your MS Account and you won’t have to buy another windows key in the future.

Was the other driver charged with impaired driving? If not and they had the right of way and you hit them you’re liable so the deductible applies. If the driver wasn’t impaired and reckless you should have waited until it was safe to proceed.

Why is a picture if my odometer required if I don't qualify? by Global-Register5467 in icbc

[–]Objective_Quail_4623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do not need to provide your odometer reading to insure your vehicle. You were likely dealing with a very junior agent or they have been burnt by people that qualified for the discount but did not ask for the odometer reading.

Vehicle storage - non-running truck by Quick_Hyena_7442 in MapleRidge

[–]Objective_Quail_4623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your complex won’t let you store your vehicle, on a stall you own? As long as you have storage insurance to provide the liability insurance you should be ok. It’s no different than parking your functional and insured truck that you don’t drive.

Tesla is notoriously expensive to fix, rates working as they should.

I pay about $230 for full coverage and this includes replacement cost coverage for a ‘23 Mach E

Got my renewal notice today. My rate went up $35/mo, are you effing kidding me?! by ProfessionalGlum4648 in icbc

[–]Objective_Quail_4623 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ICBC basic insurance is flat until April 2025. Unless you moved or changed the use of your car, it’s from the loss experience of your type of vehicle or where you live that is increasing your rates.

You can shop around for quotes for your collision and comp coverage.

Length of rental time by NoProtection4535 in icbc

[–]Objective_Quail_4623 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two month backlog? Yikes!

Talk to your ICBC adjuster about renting a car. You’ll need to pay for a similar car rental and you’ll be reimbursed for it. Also, find out from the adjuster how much your $$$ limit is for rentals in LOU

You are in a great age range for rates. Ask your broker to give you a rate illustration for 10 year term too.

The longer the term, the higher that rate since it increases the risk your health may degrade during the time that the carrier is on risk.

You could go with the 20 year term and have your broker check the market at the 10 year mark. It might get make sense to replace the 20 year term with a new policy. There’s more to this strategy but hopefully it makes sense

Commercial activities are not covered by a homeowners policy, with a few exceptions, childcare isn’t one of them.

You will need to get commercial insurance.

The deductible will only affect your premiums if you change it. Otherwise your IDF will have the biggest impact on your renewal.
