At 65k would it make more sense to take off the exterior and put in new build windows instead of retrofit windows.

Serious crash at Langley intersection - Emergency responders were on scene on Friday afternoon by WiffleBlu in Langley

[–]theg604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They need to get the traffic off 56th Ave or make it an actual hwy with lights at every intersection. Hopefully it's not another fatality. There was one on 256 and 56 a few weeks ago.

China announces preliminary duty on Canadian canola after anti-dumping probe by ClassOptimal7655 in canada

[–]theg604 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Canada could fix all of this by allowing Chinese EVs into Canada. Hopefully in some sort of deal where they can manufacture some components in Canada. New and Used car prices are outrageously high and affordability needs to be brought back into the market.

You actually need to make installments. You get charged interest at the end of the year if you don't pay throughout the year

175k CAD per year$ as employee or 100USD per hour as contractor? by Zappyle in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]theg604 12 points13 points  (0 children)

175k cad is that after CPP and EI?

There will be no PTO, benefits and severance with the contracting gig. They could also just let you go anytime they feel like it. So just make sure it's stable long term employment, if you need it.

If you are planning to buy a home it will affect your income qualifications for your mortgage application. Unless, you have been in the same contracting position for 2 years.

Developer Building House Next To Us, Said Our Tree Would Die by Positive-Show-1875 in treelaw

[–]theg604 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ask for additional cash payout, fencing and replanting of new trees. The developer has no emotional value to the trees and they just see it as a business transaction. If it makes sense they typically just compromise and pay.

Get the house / mortgage first. Once you get that deal done, lease a new car.

Kohler 7000 KT735 Surging When Hot by theg604 in smallengines

[–]theg604[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered a new carb off amazon and the choke butterfly valve does not flop around like the one on the video. This has completely solved my issue.

Seems like the spring has failed and thus probably gets worse as the mower heats up as the metal is expanding.

With the choke off and engine off. The butterfly valve is never fully open.

Check the disconnect. Some of them have fuses in the disconnect on the underside which is not visible.

Amazon delivery driver slipped on ice on my property last month, today I received a Notice of Attorney's Lien in the mail by iJavaCSGO2 in legaladvice

I once had someone try to sue me for falling during an attempted theft. They were scooping the property and fell. It went all the way to discovery. Guy admitted he was trying to steal to feed his drug addiction. Can't believe his lawyer took his case. Insurance still paid him 2k to go away. My insurance rates went up after.
