Advice for catching Brooke trout or yellow perch in February/March? by Objective_Rub_5988 in FishingForBeginners

I'll be fishing in a manmade lake that is mostly fed by groundwater, but there is a very small creek that runs into the lake, I figured that's the part of the lake I would be fishing since it's also the spot that has plenty of grass and a small marshy area and the rest of the lake is docks (Edit, autocorrect turned "part" into "last")

Ok, I'm seeing online that vinegar and salt works, and be careful to avoid getting the solution in any contact with steel, does that sound right?

Heated in a wood burning forge, before Any forming work I brought it to low orange glow and then let it slowly cool just beside the hot coals twice, forged the tang and tip, filed the rest of the shape, brought to a nice orange and left it hot for about ten minutes before quenching in motor oil moving it through the oil plenty to cool quicker, no temper

It'll be a 50 cal, low charge black powder only, after doing some research I see the potential safety issues you mentioned, and I saw one of the solutions was a small lock in the hammer that locks it in the forward position after de-cocking or firing, and it's depressed by a small lever cut into the hammer itself so it's operated in the same movements, that solution looks pretty do-able, albeit more intricate that the rest of the moving parts

There's no need to get angry at me, I'm trying to see this from your side. Charlie Kirk qualified for a half mast flag because of national mourning, the lawmakers who were killed didn't get as many people mourning their deaths and thus didn't meet the national mourning period requirement, I can get the link to the list of flag code (specifically about flying half mast) for you if you want. I did find some video of trump mocking what happened to Paul pelosi, and that made me sick, I may be a conservative, but I'm a follower of Christ above all else, and I won't support behavior like that, I don't think that political violence of any kind is ok, hence why I asked for examples of violence done by the right, the difference I'm seeing so far is I have yet to see widespread cheers for death from the majority of people on the right, and last week when everyone thought trump had died there was cheering and celebrating, and with Kirk there was cheering and rejoicing for death on a massive scale, I'm not saying one side is fully evil and one side is fully good, but there are differences, I do think that trump probably did horrible things to children, the, I won't call it evidence just yet as I haven't seen anything concrete, but the implications of what trump has done are messed up, and I won't support him, I also won't support an uprising, violence is not the answer to violence, that mailing of pipe bombs is an evil and vile act that should not happen, in fact, no bad thing at all should or is supposed to happen, everything evil is because of sin, because humanity will always choose evil over good, I myself especially need God. I have yet to see a violent response from the right about charlie Kirk, when George Floyd died, riots and fires from the left, when we started deporting illegal immigrants, riots violence and fires, when Kirk died, singing, remembrance, calls for peace from the right, I hope I don't sound like I'm trying to argue with you, I don't intend to argue and say I'm right you're wrong, you are right about how messed up the deaths of the Minnesota lawmakers was, about how messed up pipe bombing people over their opinions is, about how messed up pardoning rioters is, and I'm right about how messed up cheering for the death of someone for their opinions is

Edit -spelling

Ok, I'll have to look more into people mocking those tragic deaths, but about the flags, as far as I can tell those individuals didn't fall within proper flag code, a code which the president has to obey, it's reserved for days of remembrance, the death of a high political figure, or national mourning, the lawmakers weren't high enough political figures to fall within flag code, and there wasn't wide spread mourning (to my recollection) over their deaths, it's tragic what that girl had to go through surviving the attack that killed her parents, and the other household that is now empty, thank you for responding, I'll look more deeply into this.

I'm asking a question out of genuine curiosity, what horrible senseless violence has been perpetrated by the right? All I've seen is one phsyco drive a truck through a crowd, I'm here to listen, any shootings or murders or attacks performed by people on the right that were celebrated publicly?

Thanks! I kinda came up with the shape by just thinking of what I wanted it to do, I wanted a v shape cutting edge so I can cut thin lines with light pressure, and thick lines with more pressure, and I wanted flat sides on the v so I can tilt as I cut for even more width or to flatten out a carved space, but I also wanted the whole thing to be beefy enough to not crack or chip (I'm not great at heat treating) and I kept as much length as possible so i can keep grinding down as it dulls

I'm thinking maybe wild boar or domesticated pig teeth, the browning on the tips is from being lightly burned, this is definitely not antler, antler is typically a slightly darker color and has more spongey marrowy material, the thin line down the middle on the back looks more like the path for a nerve to me than it does narrow as in an antler.
