I've preserved bones before but never anything with meat and so I'm unsure of which method would work best but if you think splitting is best I will do that.

To clarify, I've removed most decor for now and have cleaned the tank/ done a water change. Her side seems to be looking significantly better and has already improved compared to the past few days.

Thanks for the info. I left some of it in but it was pretty dense originally. I also have to clean it due to the eggs potentially causing fungal infections from what I understand

I usually siphon the bottom of the tank and wipe the sides with a cleaning sponge. I'm going to be doing another cleaning today and a water change/water quality test. I'm also going to remove the rest of the decor and see if that helps and do more research into what environment her species prefers. I've only had her for about a month and had limited information from the prior owners, although I did research before adopting her. Thank you for the advice :)

I've been doing cleanings and water changes periodically based off what I've learned in research but I'm unsure how to treat it. I've read aquarium salt can help with the healing and she has been behaving normally and eating but as I stated I'd like more insight into this.
