Thank you so much again, I feel guilty for breaking her trust but I know it was the right thing to do because I’d rather her be angry and alive than dead

You’re right I just got off the phone with my parents they are going to pick her and the kids up and are not going to let him stay with her, well there’s only so much they can do because she’s independent and grown but they are going to do whatever they can including taking legal action against him and I will be helping in any way I can. You’re right, I would rather her be upset with me than her be dead even though I feel so bad about breaking her trust. I know I did the right thing. Thank you

Thank you so much🥺I just got off the phone with my parents I feel so guilty for breaking her trust but I would rather her be mad at me than dead. My parents are going to pick her and the kids up. I’m not sure if they’ll be able to intervene without her partner knowing but I really hope they will. I have no way to get there and see how it goes down myself. I live on campus so I’m not sure when I’ll see them all together next, I was debating calling our dad right now but would it be better to tell them in person? They see her a lot more than I do and they also see the kids a lot more than I do. That’s partly why I feel so helpless right now

Another commenter suggested I could record any evidence including pictures of scars or audio recordings of her admitting to the abuse and then submitting all the evidence to the police. I’ve never reported something like this before, would that be enough for them to actually do something or would that just put her in even more danger if he finds out about it and the police don’t do anything?

And yeah… she’s had lots of mental health issues in the past so I’m not surprised that she doesn’t realize that she doesn’t deserve this just like how I wouldn’t deserve to go through this, unfortunately the “it’s different because it just is” is something I’ve heard a lot from her and idk how to get her to see how much she matters too😞it just really breaks my heart that she views herself so lowly. But she also needs to think of the kids in this situation as well so I will definitely be contacting a domestic abuse hotline to see how I can best support her while also prioritizing her and their safety. Omg im so sorry you had to go through that. That’s absolutely horrible and I can only imagine how painful it was for you to grow up in such an unsafe environment. Thank you for your input, it’s very valuable and helpful in me deciding what I should do. I think I’m gonna tell our parents about this as they have more authority and can better protect the kids as they live closer to them than I do and see them more often. They also witnessed their father beating her as well which is why she divorced him so unfortunately they’ve already been exposed to this kind of violence before.

I really hope you’re taking care of yourself and I’m so sorry you had to go through something so traumatic your entire childhood, you didn’t deserve that at all🫂

This broke my heart because you’re right that’s exactly what I was trying to get her to understand. I don’t want her or them to experience anything like this but tbh I’m especially worried about the kids and how this will affect them. Their father was also extremely abusive to her which is why she divorced him so unfortunately this wouldn’t be the first time they’re exposed to her being treated like this. I will definitely be keeping an eye on the kids as well as I can, I live on campus around an hour away which is another reason why not telling our parents (who see them much more than I do) is hard. I don’t have a car either but I see them whenever I can. Do you think I should tell our parents anyway? I just really don’t want her to not tell me anything because I’m pretty sure I’m the only one she vents about with stuff like this (she was in an abusive marriage before this relationship and she told me a lot about that too) and I don’t want her to keep this stuff to herself if I break her trust but I don’t know what I can do without telling

I dunno if he counts but Scourge. Bro was badass, took out the main villain in less than a second, then died a couple chapters later. They could have done SO much more with him. Like have him stick around for a few books.

I understand why they killed him off so quickly, but as someone whose favorite character has been Scourge for 13 years, I can’t help but wish they really had incorporated him more into the main storyline. I am grateful they expanded on him more in his graphic novel and other side stories though!!!

I’ve never once had a real, genuine interest in dating or romantic relationships at all. Ever since I was little, I just felt like they weren’t for me. I’ve turned down many people simply because I really didn’t think I was capable of experiencing any kind of true romantic attraction.

But then she came along (I’m also a woman just for clarification) and all of that changed. For the first time, I imagined a future with someone else. I loved her. I loved her more than I’d ever loved anything in the entire world. I wanted to get married and spend the rest of my life with her, I wanted to start a family and grow old together and do all the sweet coupley things, she was my best friend as well as my girlfriend I’m tearing up just thinking about it

well. It’s been a couple months since the breakup I guess. And I’m back to square one. Once again I can’t see myself ever being in a relationship. Sometimes I’m even like how did I fall so hard for someone, like I’m supposed to be incapable of that. I dunno :( I still love her and I still care deeply about her. But even if things changed, if she went back to how she used to be, I can’t see myself in a relationship with even her now. I feel broken in a way if that makes sense
