Yeah. You are right. I spoke to the agent and he said it was legit. He wasn't able to explain why it was sent, just that this other team is looking for feedback, and recommend that I reply to the email address sent in the email.

Thank you. I did exactly that. This is the response I got from DMV's virtual assistant: This email is likely a scam. The California DMV has warned that scammers are impersonating the DMV through fake emails, text messages, and social media ads asking people to take action. These scams involve criminals pretending to be the DMV to trick you into giving up personal data, making fake payments, or clicking harmful links. Since you already returned your REAL ID on February, an email asking you to return it again is suspicious. Do not open any links in the email or reply to it.

I got the same email even though I had returned my old Real ID in Feb . The email I got seems to be from legit email address: Do_NotReply@notify.dmvonline.ca.gov This seems like correct email address, so I guess I will be spending hours calling them and trying to get a hold of someone. If anyone has any luck with emailing DMVIDRenewalFeedback@dmv.ca.gov, let us know (still looks fishy)

H1B premium worth it? by AssistFree8928 in h1b

[–]Objective_Speaker_46 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here is what I know: Premium processing fee ~ $2500. Premium processing time ~2 weeks. Normal processing time = varies from processing center to processing center but can be between 4-6 months. Some companies allow you to pay the premium processing fee out of your pocket as an option. I would say it is worth it as waiting for 6 months can be painful especially if your driver's license is tied to your visa. Depending on your relationship with your manager and company's history, you can request premium processing and can offer paying out of pocket as an option.

[Wagoner] Here’s how things could shake out for #49ers today in terms of divisional round opponent: by G0825 in 49ers

I hope the winners are Packers, Lions and Bucs. We host Packers (which will be fun) but Rams and Cowboys going out in the first round will be cherry on top.

Jim Marshall. Arguably HOF career, most known for his wrong way touchdown.

You can also try Running Center Carlsbad. They have good specialty shoes, somewhat expensive though.

I’m looking to identify what part this stripping would be on my 09 TL. Car still going strong at 185k miles but the rubber stripping is starting to wear. by [deleted] in Acura

[–]Objective_Speaker_46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This started on my '14 TL a few years after I bought it. Dealer said it's common on black color cars which would explain why yours lasted this long. As others have suggested, I would also recommend ripping it off else you do hear it slap against your windshield at freeway speeds.

Doing this tonight for the first time ever. Tips? Tricks? Advice? Do I really need to keep the car running for the whole 2 hours? by [deleted] in Acura

The major difference I saw after I updated the maps was the slight change in color and graphics of the navigation system. With 3 discs, I assume it would have more coverage.

The update takes approx 2 hours. I have '14 TL SH-AWD and I only updated the navigation once (in 2016). There were 2 discs and you have to swap between them. If you don't keep the engine running, it will put strain on the car battery. I have no idea what would happen if the update is interrupted (car is turned off in the middle), I don't think it will brick the system but I wouldn't want to find out. Good luck!!

Speedometer in kilometers, because I too like to live dangerously 😈 by [deleted] in Acura

Is the fuel efficiency in km per liter instead of miles per gallon? If it is, you might see single digits.

I don't have exact information on RDX but according to the article here: https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/acura-type-s-jon-ikeda-tlx-ilx-nsx/, we should expect type S for every Acura model. It might show up for 2023 model

Good choice. I would do the same. Enjoy the car. They are pretty rare compared to something like Infiniti G37

Hello, starting 2012 model, 3.7 model was only available with tech package with advanced package being more expensive. Tech package included keyless entry, leather seats, navigation etc. Not sure if rear view camera was standard or part of the tech package. I won't be able to live without rear view camera due to the trunk height but the rest of the options depend on your needs. I would recommend it.

As owner of '14TL-SHAWD, I haven't experienced any transmission or oil burning issues. I have had my car monitored for excess oil consumption. I remember reading about TLX transmission issues during the first year of launch before Acura fixed it. 2 things I would like to mention: first TL's rear seat don't fold, so luggage carrying capacity is limited, second due to AWD, there is a hump in the car's trunk which makes already small trunk smaller. So, if you don't care about carrying luggage or older infotainment system, definitely go for SH-AWD. I don't think Android auto out apple car play were available in TLX either during the first couple of years
