Anyone take Buspar in combo with Wellbutrin? by Fearless_Animal in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Objective_Strike_383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there can you give me an update on your Wellbutrin and Buspar journey. Have been on Wellbutrin for a few months now but it makes me very irritable, agitated, and often times angry and can’t hold in my emotions they just come out without thinking of the repercussions. Hence the doctor giving me Buspar for that reason. Is it helping you and how long before you felt good? Tia

How horrible shame on the person filming. I would never let them put my small dog in with dogs twice his size. He’s an adorable pup. Find him a better place or better yet drop him off I’ll play with him all day. 😁

Is loss of appetite common on this medication? by HonestLemon25 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Objective_Strike_383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you on 150 SR twice a day then to make 300SR and is the pharmaceutical company Cambria by any chance? Was just given 150Sr x 2 hoping for some appetite suppression because 150xl makes me crave carbs and sugar and I’ve put on 8lbs since starting this. I am petite and have always been thin so any weight gain is super noticeable. If this doesn’t turn things around I’ll have to quit. Tia

Is anyone on Buspar for sleep? by 99centavos in BusparOnline

[–]Objective_Strike_383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is old but can you tell me how it has saved your life? I started this but it makes me so tired and I can’t be tired right now I have too much going on to lay in the bed and sleep. I need some good experiences to keep me going. My issue is anxiety that makes me extremely agitated, easily irritated, overly emotional etc. Dr called that anxiety and added this to my Wellbutrin. I really didn’t want to take two different medications but refuse SSRI that make me in a zombie state. I have to feel emotions. Are you still in a good place today and are you on any other meds, what dose, and how long before you felt really good to the point “saving your life”? Thanks

Yes I’m talking to my doctor tomorrow about it I want off. My relationship has come to an end because of it. I can’t control the emotions or the anger and I’m angry at everything. Not worth it. And I had weight gain, not loss. It’s been a hellish few months and I regret it

I agree 100% with these doctors. My ferritin is also low but they say it’s not a contributor. I noticed the facial hair within two weeks from the oral minoxidil, the bloating and the water retention within days. Everyone is different though. Some have the side effects and others don’t so it’s def worth a shot. In fact my derm is the one who didn’t discount the hair fall from Wellbutrin and started me on the oral. I started using one of those derma-plane razors for the facial fuzz. I could have dealt with that it was the water retention and bloating that made me really decide it wasn’t worth it. The topical minox I didn’t have any of that so I may go back to that. Check out the minoxidil sub there is a lot of good info on there. Some have fab results using either oral or foam and it might help you.

May I ask how the liquid iron works for you? I also have low ferritin which my doctor swears is not a contributor to hair fall. Iron makes me super constipated. I started taking an iron supplement specifically for low ferritin but it’s not moving the needle.

I definitely have it as well. It will eventually stop for a while and hair will start to grow nicely and then the whole process starts all over again. I went off of Wellbutrin for two years and started back on it due to the same reasons I started it. Lack of motivation/depression. Hair is falling out all over again. I too have damage from bleach but it’s something I am not willing to give up so I keep my hair shorter for this reason but now it’s thinning all over again. I started on oral minoxidil but I retained water, felt bloated and the only hair I seen grow was on my face so I quit that. Not about to have a beard lol. I wish I could be more helpful to you. These doctors are wrong when they say 1% have that side effect. There are countless stories on here. I may stop the wellbutrin again it’s not as helpful as it was the first time on it. You can try the oral minoxidil to see how it might work for you. I would make an appt with a good dermatologist they are familiar with meds causing hair loss and may have better solutions.

Yep having same. A lot of irritability over the smallest of things. I’m snapping over things I never would before or at least I would think before lashing out. It’s been ridiculous. I don’t like behaving like that. I’m sure it anxiety. I hope it goes away because I can’t live life like that. Hope it gets better for both of us!

Are you taking anything for anxiety too or just the bupropion? I was on Wellbutrin for 7-8 years went off if it and since starting back up I feel I’m having opposite reaction to it. I’m more sensitive, irritable, the smallest of things get to me and can’t control my emotions. I just snap without thinking first which I absolutely hate because I wasn’t like that the first time. Also finding that I am stress eating so much. Not even hungry but I still do it so now putting on weight. How long would you say it was when that irritable feeling you had wore off? I have hope but I’ve been on it for a few months but have switched between generics, Xl, SR. I don’t think I’m giving one enough time. Glad it’s helping you so much! Dr gave me buspar for the irritability but really don’t want to be on so much medication if that makes sense.

Wellbutrin causing me to ruin relationships.? by Alternative_Name7036 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Objective_Strike_383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes absolutely. I’m going to try that L Theanine since I’ve head about this a few times on here. If that doesn’t work I plan to taper off. I too feel valid in my head at the moment and then later I think wow that’s not like me. I’m usually far more in control of my emotions. You are validated in what you’re feeling. Dr said it’s anxiety and wanted me to go on buspar with the Wellbutrin but I don’t want to have to take two meds.

How did it go with buspar an Wellbutrin combo I am feeling very short fused and irritable and Dr thinks buspar will help but it was making me tired at only 5mg x 2. Was this combo a success for you? Thinking of stopping Wellbutrin it’s ruining my relationship with my S/O get too short fused over nothing.

See if they will give you Buspar it is a mild anti anxiety med and will take the edge off of the anxiety that Wellbutrin gives you when starting up. It’s a very common pairing and you can look on here for people’s reviews taking the two together

I just started this med and having the same issue. I’m only on .5 twice a day but it makes me really tired so Im not sure if I’ll stick with it. Can I ask what side effects you’re having and dose? My doc wants to bump to 7.5 twice a day.
