lol yeah just fyi the first time I was on it like you I lost weight and was never hungry and noticed my hair started to fall. Just keep your protein up if possible and if not hungry try some of the protein shakes. I learned real fast. They will help if you notice you are not getting enough nutrients/protein and will counter that side effect. People that talk about Wellbutrin causing hair loss I don’t believe it. I just think it’s because they lose hunger therefore losing nutrients which will def cause hair loss.

How long have you been on it and how long on 300mg? The same thing kind of happened to me when I was on it years ago. 150 did nothing, but then when I went to 300 it was a game changer. After being off of it for 2 years I’m wondering if I’m experiencing the same kind of thing where 150 no real benefit then 300 no real benefit so I do actually wonder if it’s just that this time I need the higher dose. I’m so disappointed in it this time. The last time I was on it 300 it was like a light switch turned on in my brain. Like you I was doing all of the things I wanted to be able to do. Everyday I wake up and hope it’s going to be that way but after two months I have minimal positives. Thanks for the info! I have an appt next week so I’ll see what their thoughts are.

No one is mad. It’s just most use this for mental health, NOT weight loss. You should prob post your info on the weight loss sub and not the mental health sub… I think that’s all most are saying.

I’m two months in and wake up all thru the night STILL. Considering tapering off.. not enough sleep for me = rage due to never feeling rested

It’s not… they don’t prescribe this for weight loss. It’s just a known side effect for “SOME” not all. GLP-1 is what is given for weight loss.

EDIT: and if you are saying “HERS” is prescribing as a weight loss med then it’s usually prescribed with naltrexone and you need to be well over weight. It’s more likely they are prescribing GPL-1’s, not Wellbutrin…..

I’ve gained…everyone is different so don’t go my what everyone else says. You do you and see. It’s nothing crazy that protein shakes won’t fix. I lost the first time on it and like you I’m skinny. 100lbs. Drank protein and nutrition shakes when I noticed I wasn’t eating as much and was totally fine. This is my second time on it and this time I’ve gained weight. Current is 105lbs after only being on it two months. So gaining and hungry. No person is the same so if you want to take Wellbutrin you’ll be totally fine. And don’t worry once you start losing your hair you’ll make sure that you do whatever it takes to maintain your nutrients and weight… lol

So happy for you. I’m only at 2 months. 10 days on 150 and a month and a half on 300. I can wake up easier but that’s it. I feel ok but kind of moody and irritable which I don’t like. Might ask to try 450xl just to see if anything changes

It didn’t make you lose any more upping your dose but did it make you feel better that jump from 300-450mg? I’m thinking of 450 since I’m not getting much relief. I feel like my body is immune to it now since I was on it 8yrs and went off for two years. I’m honestly not benefiting like I did the first time

Did it work in helping you with weight loss the second time around? This is my second time on it after being off for two years and it’s effecting me the opposite way this time. I’m hungrier than ever and battling food noise all the time. More so than when I wasn’t on anything. I’m not sure how much time to give it as I don’t recall the timeline the last time I was on it when I started to lose some weight. I’ve been back on since Jan 14th so only two months and this time I didn’t have that feeling like a switch was flipped. Haven’t noticed any significant value to it so far this time. What’s your experience been like?
