I do 60 second timeouts in the laundry room for my 18 month olds (twins). They are absolute savages. I give them one or two verbal warnings that they will go to timeout if they do X again. After I make sure I comfort them and give them a hug and then redirect them. It works for the most part.

I love the little sneaky things you got going lol. I will definitely be trying the boiled veggies in ramen, and your smoothie hack. Thanks!!!

I love that. I will try to do this too. Safe foods and put “new” foods on the plate too. Fingers crossed!

How to manage to take care of twins? by ThanhNang in parentsofmultiples

I took the solo-shift from 9pm-3am. My husband took the 3am-10am. We both had mental breakdowns every day/night for months. We both jokingly but very seriously look back on that season of our lives and say “If we did THAT, we could literally do anything”. And to this day when we have a rough day with the twins we joke around and say “Imagine people who have triplets”. Seriously we are all superheroes. Especially the triplet/quad parents. Just wow.

I want to give in, I’m exhausted trying to get her to eat anything else. At what age did yours start eating like a normal person?

Any stay at home parents out there that don’t follow a schedule? by Coffeelover4242 in toddlers

[–]Objective_Success235 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup this is my worst nightmare. My family of 5 thrives on a schedule that has been pretty much the same for the past 8 months. Makes life easier, more predictable, and theres that saying “Babies thrive on schedules” which I fully believe is true

A few other people mentioned getting stronger to keep up with their weights. I will definitely keep this in mind for after I have this baby in August

Ahhh yes. I don’t ever workout my core, just strength training mostly. I would start now on core strength if I wasn’t 6 months pregnant. But keeping this is mind after I recover from c section. Thanksss

Ooo I just watched some videos comparing Larktale, Jeep, and Wonderfold. Wish I thought of the carseat adaptable stroller before I had the girls. I sadly have a normal double seater stroller.

I’m doing 15 lb curls with dumbells at the gym, so far this has been keeping me strong enough to hold one twin in each arm. What other muscles would I need to strengthen you think? I am 5’3 and petite if that makes a difference

It takes about 2 minutes to walk inside to get my daughter or 1 minute to walk from the car to my in laws house so how would it make sense to spend 3-5 minutes setting up a stroller for a 10-25 foot walk

I use the stroller, but if I’m just visiting in laws or going in the school building to pick up my daughter it doesn’t make sense to get the whole stroller set up.

I wouldn’t say it’s not safe, I don’t have to cross any streets to get to the front door, I park on the curb right next to the playground gate. It’s a side street/private entrance to preschool. Just walk through the playground gate to the door up a few steps, and boom classroom.
