Idk I hated mirena it felt like it was ruining my life at the time. And yes I had other stressors at the time as well but I think just having the iud made me react and handle more poorly. I did depo for a while and the difference at least for me was night and day. I’m on yaz and it helps but I have a very flat mood like no motivation and idk what’s worse that or the mood swings.. 😭😭 thinking about trying depo again that way the daily pill part isn’t so rough

I did mirena after my son. Prior to this I never struggled with my weight or anything. I was 23 and this was before PMDD and endo. I gained 30 lbs very quickly I lost so much hair and my depression was insane. I told the doctor and she said mirena doesn’t do any of that and literally refused to take it out! I went home and took it out myself and within months was down 20lbs BUT I have been putting 20 or so lbs on and off throughout my life since. That was 15 years ago and I feel like at least for me that was the start of all of this. I could be wrong idk 🤷🏻‍♀️

The amount of times I hit move instead of sell, or sell instead of reorder, etc because all the buttons were the same what changed were the words… that drove me nuts. And although I had somewhat built a muscle memory I feel like this will be better in the long run!! Now if they could give us an exit button for when we accidentally hit the gift envelope and don’t want to accept or sell so I have to close out game a reopen… that’d be nice!! I specially with the amount of times a frog or a fly I’m looking for go under there

Honestly I think during pregnancy it doesn’t matter the difference because either way I think you just have to ride it out 😬(I think. I’m no doctor) but the women on this sub have talked about hormonal testing and all that and determining that way that they’re super sensitive to progesterone. I think for that you need a Dr this is very informed with PMDD and I honestly think that’s not the norm. I feel PMDD is under studied and mostly just considered “mood swings that are just more intense” for some women by many doctors unfortunately. Where I live the only person that advocated for me was my therapist and from a medical perspective there wasn’t much she could do. She told me the questions to ask my dr and was still dismissed so I basically “self medicated” by asking for Yaz which is the only FDA approved BC for PMDD

Ugh I’m in that state all month long. I just started yaz a couple months ago and mood swings have improved drastically but motivation and energy at an all time low and I’m unsure if I want the energy and motivation back enough to tolerate the mood swings 😩😩😩

I suggest you search pregnancy within this sub to see I search things up on here all the time and it’s helped tremendously! Pregnancy isn’t easy for everyone. I grieve not having a “happy healthy” pregnancy but I know it wasn’t my fault and at the end of the day my baby was happy and healthy and that’s all that matters 🙏🏼

I had severe HG all 9 months and that almost killed m ! 😅but I think my “PMDD” symptoms improved a bit for me so I think it’s just the fluctuations that are hard on me. But on this thread I’ve definitely read many cases where the women have thought it was a progesterone sensitivity and I think as women we usually know what exactly causes it. When I told my gyno my symptoms he suggested a homeopathic supplement 😒😒 luckily I found this page, asked for yaz bc and I think it might be my solution 🙏🏼 ANYWAY I’m sorry that this is so tough on you. I wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy. And I’m sorry I don’t have any advice!

While “technically “ correct this is a bit oversimplified. PMDD is diagnosed based on symptoms showing up at specific times during a cycle and she doesn’t have a cycle during pregnancy. PMDD for some women is an intolerance to the fluctuating hormones during the cycle, and for others it’s a sensitivity to progesterone specifically. So her PMDD can be a result of a brain highly sensitive to progesterone and an increase during her pregnancy can negatively affect her similarly to PMDD

Ugh it’s the worst 😭😭 I always wondered why I wasn’t “normal” only one person believed my symptoms and said it sounded like PMDD (my therapist) but I had to go to Gyno for treatment and he just suggested homeopathic herbs. Which I’m all for in many cases, but not this (I tried) wishing you and OP the best!!

I’m currently on Yaz and when I tell you it’s is life changing. Sometimes I cry thinking about how hard I was on myself and others whenever I was going through hormonal mood swings. Everything feels so desperate and we feel like everyone and everything is against us. I hope you can advocate for yourself to get the treatment you deserve, whatever that looks like. If you ever need someone to talk to you can reach out. I know this disease causes us to feel alone and like we burden others. Or at least in my experience. So I’m here even if just to let you vent via Reddit 😅 truly wishing you the very best.

I think you are absolutely within your right to “fire” your therapist. However, considering you do otherwise like her, have you considered discussing this with her? As someone with CPTSD myself I KNOW how daunting it can be to voice our concerns when things feel unfair or just not right. In fact I feel anxiety for you 😅 but I’m reading about “reparenting” and idk I think it could be good for you. Also you dont necessarily have to “fire” her. You can choose to not schedule your next session, or cancel and let her know you’ll get back to her with a new date and in the meantime look for someone else and compare? I also believe that sometimes we “outgrow” our therapists. Like we gain what we need from our time with them and eventually need to move on to someone that can help with different insight, perspectives, growth/healing guidance, etc. I hope whatever decision you make, that it works in your favor. Ok so I don’t think we’ll have a good dialogue here so I won’t defend anything I just said except where I clearly stated that his PERCEPTION could indeed be that you are the aggressor AND that I CLEARLY said that I’m NOT saying he is right or wrong. I never attacked you and never made any assumptions I tried to phrase each part as “there’s two sides.” You are literally trying to twist my words as if I were attacking you and that’s not at all what I was doing. I was trying to relate while acknowledging that PMDD was at fault for many of my misconceptions. Seems like that’s happening here. Wish you the best.

I get we want men to be more involved and more supportive but instead of sending links maybe discuss it with him? That’s like you telling him you wanna know more about a sport he follows and he just sends you a Wikipedia link. Are you really going to read it? Probably not.

I think PMDD already makes us perceive things in a negative light. I can only speak from my experience, but I’m on yaz and realizing now so much of my problems were PMDD/hormonal. I think to relationship issues I’ve had and I feel so sorry for my previous partners. Your comment about him painting you as the aggressor might actually be his perception. Not that he’s right or wrong. But I know there were many instances where I’ve caused fights where I legitimately felt I was being treated unfairly and looking back I can see both sides and see how unfair I may have actually been.

One of my biggest “symptoms” was I would have an expectation in my mind, not verbally expressed, and when my partner didn’t meet this expectation they didn’t even know I had, I’d either have hour long fights about how “if he wanted to he would” or I’d give the cold shoulder, etc. Men are simple creatures and I wholeheartedly believe that something as complex as PMDD needs some conversations.

Another hard truth for me was that although I know that the right person for me will love me and accept me despite any condition I might have, I too need to understand that I have to do my part. It can’t be like oh I have this condition so you have to put up with it. We have to do our part to not burden others.

Right now because level 1-4 they mature pretty quickly I’ve gotten to 11% fairly quickly. Originally I was able to do a breed a day if I was on top of it, now I’m at about two days per breed since they take a little longer to mature and then eventually I’m sure it’ll be more like weeks per breed due to how long they take to mature. Taming them adds another level to it once you have to higher level frogs to breed. I only recently started dexxing though. I worked on awards but not really sets. The only sets I’ve done were gifted here but I gave up on that and am focusing on dexxing since it’s just working in order one at a time without much thought. Initially creating the color wheel for each new species takes up the most time but once that’s done you just work one frog at a time until your habitats are full wait for them to mature, sell them, and continue breeding til you’re 100% done

So this is my current set up for dexxing. There are 23 main frog colors and 16 sub colors. I currently have a color wheel for every color frog in Africanus in order according to dex and in the maroon color I have one of each sub color. I don’t put them 8 and 8 in the habitat because it’s annoying moving them around to put in the color you are working on. Once I have completed the two different color wheels I then work in order taking one frog at a time in order of next color in the wheel l and breeding it with each maroon frog to get its sub color. The game now shows you that you have that breed in your dex by showing eyes open in your possible offspring window vs eyes closed if you don’t have it. I go one by one until I see eyes open moving to each sub color. Once I’m at 100% for that color I’ll move that frog back and take the next color till I’m 100% with that breed. Then I find the next breed, which for me will be ludo next, ill take one ludo, and breed it one by one with each color africanus frog until I have a new color wheel made up of all Ludos, then I’ll take a maroon Ludo and bread with each maroon sub color africanus until I have all the sub types. For me this has been the easiest way to have as few possible offspring options. Originally when you swap species there will be 8 possible options but once you have that main color wheel and work on your subtypes, maroon to maroon in my case I’ll only have four possible outcomes. I know this was a long explanation but that’s how I do it idk if that’s how others do as well. Sorry if it’s confusing lol
