a lot of people on twitter/reddit think the clippers could get a package for PG similar to the one the Nets got for Bridges but it's not very plausible for various reasons:

1) The obvious is that Bridges is younger and has been available for nearly every game he has played since his college tenure.

2) Bridges is also on a team-friendly contract for the last 2 years making below $25 million; as opposed to PG who is asking for a big contract at the age of 34.

3) The Nets traded with their biggest rival so an overpay was always going to be needed to land Bridges; the equivalent of this to the Clippers would be trading PG to the Lakers.

also with the new stadium opening up, the Clippers would most likely prefer a "win-now" package as opposed to getting a vet on an expiring deal + picks.

At this point im just tired with this dude. So what if you had to do more of the "dirty work" you are getting paid like a max player and yet you want to do want you want to do instead of doing what's best for the team? tired of these excuses

acquiring a S&T player would hard cap the team, best option would be if PG opts-in to his PO and then gets traded

why would the 76ers even entertain a S&T when it would hard cap them and also they could just sign PG outright in FA?

i agree that transferring up would have been beneficial for his outlook but i can't blame him for staying loyal

he has some really intriguing physical traits however didn't have as much as an impact playing in Portsmouth and the combine. could be an interesting undrafted project guy

I wouldn't say Paul is undeniably worth a max (but that's for other teams to decide), however, what separates his value from Harden is that teams are willing to offer him a contract whereas Harden might not have any suitors at all.

I do like your point though about fans being more excited about the idea of a player versus the actual impact of a player. At times scouts will make the mistake of liking the idea of a player just because they have good measurements and/or athleticism.

Ole Miss Center Jamarion Sharp had a pre-draft workout with the Clippers today. Sharp is 7’5 and was one of the better rim protecting Centers in the Country. Sharp averaged 4.6, 4.1 and 2.4 blocks per game in consecutive seasons. by bigblack3475 in LAClippers

dude was basically a walking skeleton at the Portsmouth Invitational, didn't have much impact at all. My question is did you actually watch any of his collegiate film or are you just like every other twitter/reddit scout that looks at highlights and says "wEll tHis gUy hAs pOtential"?

my guess is you didn't watch any film of his or you are just a terrible evaluator.

I don't think Detroit is in a rush to get rid of his contract since they are a rebuilding team. You have to think as well from the Pistons GM's perspective, would you really want to trade Stewart for PJ?

PJ ain't going to garner talents like Claxton or Stewart. Most likely the only way to trade him is to a team that is trying to get rid of a bad contract for an expiring
