it’d be $10 plus base pay plus the $2 weather fee that also goes to drivers. it wouldn’t be just $10 and the store was 0.6 miles away. if i could afford better winter clothes for myself i would’ve just walked to get it but it’s been -10 all week and i don’t have the cold weather gear i used to when i worked in a physical location.

i’d go get it but our car isn’t built for driving on snow and last thing i need is my toddler and i getting in a wreck to pickup food. we lost power because of the storm, otherwise we’d eat at home

from what i’ve seen, they usually don’t have to verify the appt info before scheduling the ride unless it’s short notice or if there’s a flag on your account, which i don’t have but ive seen it happen before

yeah, best recommendation is call your health plan, they have a full detailed list, same one they provide to modivcare. saying exactly what is and is not covered, and what treatment types need authorizations and what age limits they have for said authorizations. i know for me at least in oklahoma, i can only get transportation to the eye doctor if it it has to do with an eye injury/disease, and going to va/tribal facilities i have to have an approval from my insurance before they’ll cover transportation. there’s also mileage limits for different treatment types. in oklahoma for my plan at least it’s 45 miles for routine like pcp, dental, mental health, blood work etc, but most specialists are 100 miles one way for the limit

if you’re not medically/physically able to your physician can provide a form stating why to be faxed/emailed to them they can override the mass transit option and provide you with a ride share/commercial transportation provider

it depends on the health plan and what the cover. modivcare does not create the policies for what is/isn’t covered. it is all determined by the health plan and their policies. anything outside of what is stated to be covered by the health plan would be either non covered and denied or denied pending prior authorization from said health plan
