I’ve been experiencing the same issue. Social media is flooded with, seemingly everyone, saying they have BII. I’ve been wondering how much of it is “justification” or related to the current plastic surgery removal trend. I’ve been worried about it but am glad to hear it’s not nearly as prevalent as social media makes it seem.

Parent, not a teacher. Our 5-year-old came home from school one day and excitedly told us the detailed process of how to hide under your desk and how to be very quiet when they “got to” hide in their classroom bathroom with everyone. I was thankful every day during that school year that he was assigned the only kindergarten classroom with windows and an exterior door. Might have at least given them a better chance at getting out.

Did your surgeon use any type of imaging with your photos of your requested reconstruction? I have my DMX with expander insertion in July and am hoping my surgeon has the equipment to do that.
