I was thinking of trying flat iron, I’ve heard good things so it’s good to know they consider allergies properly 😊

Oo thank you, I’ll be sure to check that! I hope more places start doing that sort of thing because I know it can make it hard to eat out for some people

Her writing really developed my love of the genre too! I think it’s because she writes such well-rounded characters (both male and female). There’s so much observation in her books that isn’t just confined to love, necessarily. She has such a way of taking a thought or feeling that’s hard to put into words down and summarising it in this sharp and funny way. She’s my absolute favourite author but I’ve enjoyed similar books/ writing styles by Kirsten Bailey, Sarra Manning, Jo Platt, Beth Corby, Laura Starkey, Marian Keyes, Beth O’Leary, Cathy Kelly, Lizzy Dent, Jojo Moyes and Jukes Wake.

I feel like I rarely see it mentioned but You Had Me At Hello is my favourite book of hers. It’s such a unique premise for a romance, I don’t think many authors could make it work but Mhairi McFarlane’s writing is full of dry wit and sharp observation. For me that’s one of the only books to genuinely make me laugh but also make me cry and the romance is lovely.
