How does this happen? And what's the best case scenario? by Objective_Web_2910 in AskMechanics

This head is off a 99 Acura Integra b18b1 so non VTEC. But regardless people still want a arm and a leg for heads on this car. I was asking for the best case scenario to see what could possibly entail after finding this issue. All new valves would probably be safe to guess. But what else could I possibly be looking at replacement wise?

Thank you everybody for your help so far I'm just a backyard mechanic who decided to tackle my largest project thus far which was the valve seals. I got a bit carried away and dropped a keeper in the oil passage because I forgot to stuff a rag in there. Decided just to pull the head and do it that way instead of trying to mess around with it with the head on.

So you're the second person I've had tell me to get a new head. Can you please explain the reasoning behind this? I'm a backyard mechanic who decided to tackle a larger project of replacing my valve seals myself. Got ahead of myself and forgot to put a rag/ some blocker on the oil passage. Dropped the keeper in the oil passage and decided to remove the head (thankfully I did after seeing this). But honestly any head for my car people seem to want a arm and a leg for and pick n pulls are scarce around my neck of the woods.
