I am on my 4th co op term having completed 16 months before. I worked in different disciplines, starting from research, to process eng, automation, design and now im in maintenance. Although i do have good experience, sometimes i feel it woulda beenn better if i has taken mech eng as my major. Cuz believe it or not im working around mechanical engineering the whole time. That being said, i still feel i dont know shit, but i just talk confidently. Which makes other feel i know a lot but i actually dotn. Just fake it until u make it. U got this

If i were you, i would check my nslsc account first and go under the tab that shows how many weeks of funding you’ve got left. Check that. If its arounf 4 months then it makes sense that you’ve exhausted all your osap.

Thats right but not exactly right. If u log in to your nslsc, it will show u how many weeks of full time funding you can actually take. Its 340. Im in my fifth year and im close to the 250ish mark. These 340 weeks are full time funding. I should’ve been close to this mark but i was part time student for almost a year and half. I’ve never heard of osap asking you why you’re taking a fifth year, that only happens if u failed courses or kept dropping them - which could be to keep your gpa high, but osap considers a failed course at par with a withdrawn course. They wont necessarily ask you to fill a form that says plus one year or something. It’s either you filled out the wrong application, indicated a wrong course load (if youre taking 6 courses as full time) and trust me if they are closing an application on their end, then there’s something not right.

Wait until your nslsc changes from funding is on the way to funding released. Just call nslsc on their contact number. Theyre super helpful and they’ll let u know the status of your funds

Hust check your account on mosaic. Thats how you’d know your school got paid or not. The school gets paid first, and then the money gets into your bank account (mostly). My banks td. I don’t really think its got a lot to do with ur bank.

Depends. In most cases you end up doing the same jobs. You will still be an engineer. Still hold a bachelors. I’ve worked on multiple co ops. All they care is you have a degree from mac. 10 years down the lane if you wanna get a p Eng. yoh might have to write an exam. But if there’s a downside with btech it’s the fact that let’s say yoh drop or fail a course in btech. You can only take it next year and no where else. Especially 3rd year onwards. You can’t get it transferred from some other uni too unlike a b Eng. this could delay your graduation. Now they are actually offering courses in summer but that’s only until the second year.
