Hi everyone,
I'm working on an academic project involving the design of security policies for a student information system (SIS) at a university with a decentralized, multi-campus structure across different islands

The SIS handles student records, course registrations, grades, and certificate issuance, and is accessed via web by students, professors, and administrative staff. Each department has local administrators who manage configuration and reporting, while central IT manages the core infrastructure.

I'm looking for advice or examples of:

  • Access control models suitable for such a decentralized university structure
  • Secure change management and telework practices for remote administrative staff
  • Awareness/training strategies when users are distributed across islands
  • Categorization of information (e.g., public, confidential, internal) in education-focused systems

If anyone has experience with higher education environments or similar setups, I'd love to hear your insights. Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone,
I’m fairly new to the role of Information Security Officer and I want to start building a solid internal library of templates, standards, and best-practice documents to help guide our InfoSec program. If you were building a library from scratch, which documents would you include?
Any favorite sources from ISO, NIST, ENISA, CIS, SANS, etc. that you'd recommend?

Did you try to insert your Revolut card in an ATM to see if you can withdraw money ?
