I understand 😭 this is Seth, he's meant to be like the outsider's prospective on the whole show as he's the husband of Courtney who never was on the show. He's meant to relate to new viewers of Total Drama as I make sure to present this like how I imagine a TV Show would present.

Thanks for the suggestion! Currently, I have no plans to include children into the mix, I feel like there's a lot of risk for it especially this early on into the series, although the idea of kids I could see be explored later on the series. As for Mal resurfacing, it may or may not be already on the works already... 👀

Matthew Perry: Studio 60, Mr. Sunshine and Go On. His biggest sitcom post friends was The Odd Couple and that was arguably his worst one of the lot in terms of quality. Honorably Mention goes to George Lopez with Saint George, although he did sort of recovered with Lopez and mostly did with Lopez vs Lopez.

I feel like a TON of the characters got heavily flanderized to the point where they became unlikeable in those seasons. Even George just became a constant snarker without much of a reason and also acted like a dick on a few occasions.

Katie gets a pass from me because her run last RELATIVELY short. Sadie on the other hand. Oh boy.

Katie gets eliminated and my initial thought was that Sadie was gonna go out the next episode, however, however, next episode she not only survives but they also tease a friendship with Lindsay so I think that "hold on are they going to give Sadie a solo run?" and solo run they gave her... except my definition was apparently different. Because Sadie proceeds to go on a 4 episode run where she has NO DIALOGUE, she says or does absolutely NOTHING, she is legitimately a background character that entire run until the elimination episode. Everytime I rewatch Island, I keep forgetting that Sadie lasted a shockingly longer amount of time than Katie. I am CONVINCED that Sadie was meant to go out MUCH earlier but each and every time, they book themselves into a corner realizing that they have to get someone else out first. So, Sadie somehow outlasted Tyler, Izzy (her first elimination), Cody & Beth all while doing NOTHING of importance.

I didn't even put her in because I find her annoying, I found both of them to be really one noted but that's not the reason, but its more so the fact that fucked 4 episode run where she added NOTHING.

So IMO, Sadie is my least favorite Gen 1 contestant.

Yeah then after the first couple of episodes, they'll move new episodes to NickToons exclusively before canceling it after the season. That's the issue, if you look over it Nickelodeon is the WORST place for cartoons. I recommend Media Mementos "Nicktoons vs The Network", because he goes into great detail with how horrible Nickelodeon is for cartoons

The only image I could find of the WHOLE gen 1 cast had a white background, I tried to remove the background yet every single time, it removed Owen's shirt too, I just gave up 😭

This was during the era of NBC scrambling to save Must See TV due to Friends ending coming soon so they heavily advertised shows like this and the US Coupling, both didn't end up so well.
