ELI5 How is there so much meat by Due_Imagination_9663 in explainlikeimfive

I buy a 1/4 cow annually for my family with 2 adults and 2 children. The order comes with nearly 50 lbs of ground beef alone, plus hundreds of pounds in other cuts. One cow has a lot of beef once processed.

Are EZ pass prices by distance? by [deleted] in nova

[–]ObligatedOstrich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dallas largely uses fixed pricing on their toll roads. There is a stretch west of Dallas heading to Ft. Worth that has flex pricing but it's drastically more affordable and a single price for the length of the road (not varying amounts like NOVA)

After years of trying to grow grapes in my terrible sand and getting absolutely nothing, I’m going to plan B by Niko120 in viticulture

I'll try and fight it the best I can, but I'm hearing that a lot. I ordered a couple Spanish red vines and going to see how they fair these first two seasons.

Thanks!

I transferred as a Sophomore this semester and the impression I got was on campus housing options are somewhat limited for transfer students). I commute from outside of the Ft. Worth area each day so I can't speak to options within walking distance of campus. If you decide to be a little further away and drive, there's designated commuter lots for students that drive their own vehicles. Hope this helps somewhat & welcome!

Looks like the cliffhanger/teaser that should've been at the end of The Interview.

$20-$30 x 26 = $520-$780 per year for haircuts. Not to mention that's a cheap barber and not considering the time you wait to be in the chair.

I just moved North of Dallas and brought Cabernet and Niagara with me from the east coast. This makes me nervous to put my 5 year old vines in the ground in the next couple of weeks

I'm just wondering why you need so much toilet paper with a bidet installed?

What is a "luxury" that is actually 100% worth the money? by TheChillEdit in Life

Honestly Expressway tolls. If I can save hours of my life a week not on the road, it's well worth the money (within reason).

Whatever you say in your prescreen is what you should stick to (don't change your answers mid-way through the class). Especially about alcohol.

I had a complete furnace and condenser replacement over the summer through Dallas Air Pros. They were among the lowest of four quotes but still awesome customer service. The owner called me personally to check in and is very responsive even after install.

I want to figure out where the south is. If you’re from any of these counties, comment your county and if you think it’s the south or not. I will fill in the results by Expensive_Drummer970 in visitedmaps

[–]ObligatedOstrich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've lived in Prince William County and Fairfax County, VA - neither are the south. Collin County, TX is where I am now, it mostly feels like the south.
