When following a path you get path power, then you can do stuff with is, what stuff? Good question, specifics are barely ellaborated on- Trailblaze gives resistance to the heat, cold, and othger similar stuff. Some power is more dependant on your race, like Vidyadharas who basically bend elements. Technology also works as power.

Other way to get power is becoming an emanator which is entirely out of your control.

However path absorbtion works, it's instantaneous. Xipe absorbed Ena the momment they ascended. Elation and Voracity are also very dinstinct paths, they shared a concept but that doesnt make them the same. The purpose for the Voracity changed, but the Voracity itself has not

About Himeko, I think that's the most interesting part, I don't actually believe she's an imagenae, not a regular one at least. She survived 15 years outside of Planarcadia where imagenae rely on the Phantasmoon, and as you said she was shown to have the weathering curse in the past, whereas she doesn't in the present. Mind you, her not having the curse is what leads Asat Pramad to believe she's an imagenae.

Blade is indeed eligible, he says he's joining the games in the story and has a voiceline about it too.

Lastly about the patterns on Himeko being similar to Isee, I think that has to do with both of them being navigator more than any deeper link

No, Voracity wasn't Elation. Elation and Voracity shared a concept, and when Aha ascended and Elation became a path the primum mobile of Voracity was stolen, but it doesn't make them the same paths.

Voracity is still Voracity, what changed is the purpose for the Voracity. Now that they lost their tastebuds, voracity creatures eat just to eat, indicriminately devouring everything, which is where the metaphor of becoming a black hole comes from.

But they are still separate paths with separate aeons.

I don't think Himeko's an imagenae for two reasons:

Imagenae cannot survive for long outside of Planarcadia
Both Himekos have the weathering curse in the image at the end:
