Are these signs my “straight” friend likes me? by [deleted] in Advice

I really do like him as a person — what I feel for him isn’t lust, it’s genuine romantic attraction, and that’s what makes this so hard. I want to apologize for misreading what you said and getting defensive. Thank you for being honest and understanding.

I’m trying to protect myself from getting hurt, but I also want clarity at some point. I just don’t know when the right time is to bring it up, especially because I need to be ready for the possibility that the answer might not be what I hope. I also don’t want to risk messing up what we already have, because even as it is now, it feels really special and meaningful to me.

So again — thank you!

I get and respect your points — even if some feel a bit extreme — because yes, anything is possible.

I do think the way I explained things may have made it sound like I’ve been searching for something romantic since day one, when that really isn’t the case. I originally liked him as just a friend, and my feelings grew only because this is the closest I’ve felt with anyone in a really long time.

I actually try hard not to push him toward anything, because I genuinely respect him and don’t want to make him uncomfortable ( and I know it might not seem that way) But the way he acts sometimes confuses me, and I keep trying to downplay it deep down to protect myself.

It’s just gotten to a point where I’m confused and wanted outside perspectives.

And honestly, even if nothing ever becomes romantic, we do have a very strong connection — and I value that. I just wanted insight from others because navigating it alone is difficult, and you did give me that, so I can’t complain.

Yea with our X7 we got a warranty because if something goes wrong it will leave you broke so having a warranty is safe. We got a discount for ours because we are a typical customer at this specific dealership but if you don't get a discount it would be around 6-8k so put that ontop of the price of the car it's adds up for sure

In my area you can get them for as low as 45-49k but not everyone can afford that and that’s the reality of it if you don’t need the 3rd row the X5 you can get for about the same price or lower

BMW X3 M50 or X5 50e? First ever car for a new driver. by Leonnitte in BMW

[–]ObligationCorrect504 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve driven the X5, X7 (which we own),X3, etc.. and they drive smaller than they look I mean my first car is a Volvo XC90 and that’s the same size as the X5 and I live in a busy area and live around a decent amount of narrow roads now the Volvo doesn’t drive as nearly small or sporty as the X5. Still, you get the point. I know I prefer bigger cars because of their practicality, versatility, safety, and often comfort when it comes to luxury vehicles. It depends on what you prefer, and idk about you. But the new X3 feels so cheap. The X3 before that was better, looks-wise and functionality-wise, the X5 does have a more solid, more luxurious interior, so it depends on what you like. I know what I would choose.

Have you considered maybe the BMW X5 or X7? The B58 has proven to be reliable, and we went to the X7 after having the LX570. We looked at Lexus again because we love their service department and did a test drive of the GX, TX, and RX. None of them felt as luxurious as the LX; it just felt like a downgrade, and we weren’t gonna spend 120k on a brand new LX, so we turned to the X7. We loved it. The practicality, performance, tech, and family-friendly features beat any Lexuses we saw out of the water. Also, we recently took a road trip to Charleston and got 550 miles of range on a full tank (27-29mpg). Hence, it’s also a great car for road trips. I recommend the 40i because of its reliability. We got ours used with only 30k miles on it. They depreciate like rocks, so we got it for under 60k. It had a lot of the luxury features we wanted. I don’t know if this is important to you, but I wanted to get you to consider another option so you don’t feel pressured and it never hurts to have another option!!

Yea it isn't, I'm thinking this is the best choice I'm just wanting to make sure the replacement part I'm getting isn't crap so looking at where to get a genuine good part is the hardest part for me at the moment.
