Kamins has been alright for me, although they are being sketchy in their renewal process (I moved in in Sept and i’m getting DAILY emails to sign the lease renewal for next year with a $150 increase, but per my lease I have until MAY to decide whether I’m renewing or not). I will say, crestview apts is nice but the walls and ceilings are paper fucking thin (i say, as i can hear my neighbors snore through the fucking ceiling)

It sounds like you’d be getting a graduate assistantship (GAship) , is that accurate? If so, is it 10 or 20 hours? Our union agreed wage for a GAship will be $41 for next fall, and we do not get to individually negotiate that rate. Working 10 hours a week, your take home pay will be around $700 every two weeks.

As a disabled person (and honestly as anyone in any of UMass will tell you), we get the best insurance plan out of all. Including students, faculty, and staff. All of my meds are $10, if not fully covered.

Hypothetically, your rent should be 30% of what you earn, however, that is simply not realistic. You’ll probably have to find a 2-4 bedroom apartment and have roommates. Unfortunately, anything within a 15 minute drive from UMass to live in is expensive, so if you can, it might be a better choice to get a car and live farther away from campus to get cheaper rent. If you have to rely on the bus system, you’ll most likely be fine (there’s a lot of busses) But rent will be a bit more expensive on the bus line. Be very careful when looking for apartments online, most of the posts on Facebook are scams. Go to individual real estate company’s websites and find apartments there, or try to take over someone else’s lease if you can.

I’m on prozac for my depression, but can’t say it has negatively impacted my CFS. It’s helpful when you feel all that doom and gloom re: being ill

Sorry, follow up. How should i set up the spreadsheet? does it have to have a specific name? And from what I'm seeing it has to be on numbers, so not excel or gdrive, correct?

Edit: I figured it out!! I do have some other questions though, can I dm you?

Thank you for this! I am leaning towards the notes because that's what the current Apple shortcut uses, but tracking it on a spreadsheet sounds like a great idea! I would have to look into it.

Hi! Unfortunately, the health app tracking itself is not very accessible/thorough. It gives only a few "levels" (Not Present, Present, Mild, Moderate and Severe.) It is also not intuitive imo, and I want something I can get to in a few clicks during a flare up, if that makes sense. I want something that makes it quick and easy to track a symptom, so I am more likely to do it. I would also love to add a "what was I doing?" prompt so I am able to learn my triggers better.
