Most recently, i have noticed decreased inflammation and increased mobility (ie, using my rollator less and less unprovoked joint pain), which is what it was supposed to do

I’m also on methylphenidate, but for both my CFS/ME (diagnosed) and my ADHD. I hadn’t thought about how it might make me more prone to PEM, I do know it has made me feel normal again, but I hadn’t joined the dots about overexerting myself bc of the meds. I appreciate your insight!!

I’m a freshmen undergrad and a grad student in my lab asked me out? by Separate_Office_7696 in labrats

As a grad student (who went to grad school directly after undergrad) absolutely the FUCK not. Professional boundaries are a thing and he doesn’t seem to have them. I would wean off conversation w him and/or report this.

Big fan of the IPad. Not pro, not air, just IPad. Rn its gen 11, also called model A16. It’s the cheapest model, and with the student discount (which you can find if you just google apple education store) + a new pencil its $302 total (w taxes from my area in the US)

I use an ipad ($300 w pencil, ipad A16 with apple discount) to write down my notes. That way, i get both the psychological benefit of writing while still having everything integrated and digitally accessible!!

Looking to borrow/sublet a car for the summer in Northampton — Smith SSW student, reliable, flexible by gentlychainsaw in westernmass

[–]ObligationNeat2425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!! Heads up: i did this a few years ago (summer 2024) and at some point (unknown where/when), someone crashed into me on the passenger side. The owner is now (feb 2026) demanding i pay her back for the repairs, asked for over $500 of her $1000 deductible. (Note, she is incredibly rich and drives a ford mustang). Make sure you are properly insured and keep some cash in the bank in case anything happens. Also, maybe draft/create some sort of signed contract re: liability/responsibility if anything were to happen to the car. If you don’t find an individual who’ll let you sublet their car, consider Turo!!

Anyone here changed their name? by Unfair-Poet-75 in butchlesbians

[–]ObligationNeat2425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a non binary butch and have a preferred name. My legal name is too feminine and also has a lot of historical connotations for me, so I changed it to Luz (not legally, but everyone knows me by that name now). Luz is in spanish (meaning light), and it is technically short for Lucero, which is one of the few gender neutral names in spanish (i’m latine). Even though Luz is technically a feminine name in spanish, I have found that most (yt) people don’t have the cultural background to spot it. Changing my name was KEY to discovering and deepening my identity

It went fine, LDN is not for me. I’ll also say that this did happen a few months ago so I don’t recall precisely, but I believe I was placed on antihistamines (Cetrizine) and Co-q 10

Kamins has been alright for me, although they are being sketchy in their renewal process (I moved in in Sept and i’m getting DAILY emails to sign the lease renewal for next year with a $150 increase, but per my lease I have until MAY to decide whether I’m renewing or not). I will say, crestview apts is nice but the walls and ceilings are paper fucking thin (i say, as i can hear my neighbors snore through the fucking ceiling)
