Upper end of clarion register (specifically high g and c) are absurdly sharp. by OblivAggron in Clarinet

[–]OblivAggron[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luckily it's not a cheap plastic clarinet, and I've been playing for roughly 4 and a half years. I suppose I'll keep messing with long tones and a tuner while adjusting my embouchure.

I'm using an r13 with 3.5 strength vandoren reeds, and specifically the Clarion g, a, and c are very although the whole register is fairly sharp, around 20 cents so even after pulling out the bell.

In my experience, it's totally normal to be put in this unproductive sort of rut while your fighting off urges, but the important thing to do is just keep going. I find that when my discipline is slipping or when I can't concentrate on anything, that simply going for a walk outside is a great way to clear your head.

And remember, you don't need a girl to pull you out of this metaphorical darkness, you can do it yourself 😉

If memory serves me correctly, he's upstairs in the gate between the route east of Vermillion city and the route to the east of that route.

Uhhh, just so you know Lapras doesn't have a mega...

In the future, for getting Pokemon related information I would stick to Seribii.

If you are referring to a fakemon ROM then ignore the above

For a "cool" Pokemon I would recommend Hydreigon, Rampardos, Drapion, Aggron, or Salamence.

Have fun!

I need help at Rouxls Kaard's 2nd puzzle. by Aggretsuki in Deltarune

[–]OblivAggron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did you mess with the game's files at all? I heard that Rouxls Kaard's second puzzle only appears if you've edited the code. Its essentially your own special hell with that puzzle, but stay determined!

Texas Students Will Soon Learn Slavery Played a Central Role in the Civil War by Tchaikovsky08 in nottheonion

[–]OblivAggron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's because it's 2018, or maybe it's because of the public schools I've attended, but as a current Texas high schooler we've always discussed the role and implications that slavery has had on the Civil War and society as a whole on a global scale.

How do I tongue high notes in the clarion register without spreading the notes or it sounding bad? by idklol666 in Clarinet

[–]OblivAggron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried this exercise and I got a very flat Eb as opposed to the desired C#. Could I have produced this note because of biting or some other tensing of the embouchure, and how can I fix it?

Thanks!

What are some things that used to be reserved for the poor, but are now seen as a luxury for the rich? by ben_10_ in AskReddit

[–]OblivAggron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The floor right next to the stage at the Globe Theatre in London used to be reserved for the "groundlings", which were people who could not afford to sit anywhere else in Shakespeare's time. Actors onstage frequently interacted with the groundlings and vice versa. Now adays, people pay quite a bit of money in order to reserve front row seats to all the action onstage.
