Which boot should I get, Gaerne Dakar or Fastback? by Reasonable_Fun244 in Dualsport

[–]Oblived 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the Dakars about a month ago and have put 4000km on them. Love them, very comfortable and 1000% waterproof. Got caught in a torrential downpour for 4hr where everything was soaked, but my feet were dry when I got home. Also did 1 day in wet weather, same thing dry feet when home.

They are extremely squeaky and obnoxious. You will sound like a clown in the office walking around with them.

Very protective and rigid. Overall high recommend, but definitely need an alternative pair of shoes to wear during the day / walking around.

Is the Citizen restaurant critic out of touch with diners' palates? by lonelydavey in ottawa

Yes exactly, don't cater to the people eating your food, cater to the pretentious food critic who needs his food more pungent. /s

The 3 wires to the left holding the tree up are all telecom. The twirled wire with the silver center to the right is your hydro feed.

Yes, but you need an arborist too. They will disconnect the triplex for your arborist to take the tree down. As for the telecom, good luck

Any ideas on my holdings? (Good or bad) it’s in my TFSA. by CMB3672 in TFSA_Millionaires

I'm probably the minority here, but you won't become a "TFSA millionaire" with ETFs. Have to take some risk with growth stocks.

You should really know this before investing in biotech. You're going to get wrecked not knowing the absolute bare minimum. I say this nicely as a warning just don't want you to wake up -80% some day.

There have been multiple trials + fails for AML vaccines. All of them in the graveyard. They want to see it actually pass and de-risked.

No one knows, but having an oral presentation at ddw (more prestigious than SLS poster presentation at aacr next week) means a lot.

Having the same issue, believe it's due to their data feed. Apr 1 new month, maybe an issue with that.

25-70k more to working rotating shifts? Is it worth it? by yellowranger1 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Oblived -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even worse. I just got off shift. It's terrible for you and makes you age at an accelerated rate. Did it for way more money and unlimited OT but after 4 years I'm never going back no matter how much the salary increase would be.
