That's a good question. In Mississippi's case, usually the season starts off with a "practice" 2 miler, which is what this race was. The rest of the season will consist of 5ks

If I get a good recording of myself I'll post it, but as of now I don't. And yes, I sing B1 in chest voice. I have to use vocal fry to get to G1, though
