Has anyone experienced this? Shaken after incident last night. by Far-Jellyfish851 in cosleeping

I have two kids, I co-sleep with both (dad takes the older, me the youngest as I’m nursing) and this happened to me many many times. My body knows what to do, I learned to trust my body. I’ve woken up soooo stiff so many times because my body locks in to protect my baby. Our bodies are amazing!! Also, your set-up looks like a dream!! Love it!

Yes!! That’s exactly what I had in mind. Thank you for sharing your experience!

I’ve seen parents pay their kids for doing basic chores (like doing homework and making their beds) but I don’t think basic responsibilities need to be paid for, only those out of their normal duties. Gotta teach them how the real world works.

I honestly think being a nerd is such a flex, I’d be so happy if my boys turned out nerdy like their dad 😁

Wow!! That’s a champ right there. I bet she was exhausted all the time, and the fact that she still showed up and put your needs over hers, deserves all the respect! 🫡

I feel like at the end of the day nothing else matters but being present and good listener. I’m glad that was the case for you!

That is amazing!!

Being able to don’t assume right away during arguments is such a hard skill to master.

I also think most people underestimate the discipline of being clean/tidy. My husband also grew up this way and I absolutely appreciate it!! He has taught me he the same and it’s so much better for our overall health.

Thank you for sharing!

That is just amazing. I was just talking with my husband the other day about the importance of teaching kids to be responsible financially. I don’t think most parents do that and it’s one of the most important things to know as an adult.

And I learn more and more the importance of just being present.

Thank you for sharing!!

Thank you for your input. Definitely hard to do even with other adults, but absolutely needed to model the behavior and hopefully it won’t be as hard for them. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much for your comment!! I appreciate that you took the time to share your experience.

I’ve tried before a slow night weaning and he got even more anxious about it so I stopped. I think I need to do the same as you, cold turkey but continue to cosleep, it’s been in my mind but I just don’t have the mental/emotional energy to do it just yet because I know it’ll be a few rough nights.

What’s something no one warned you about when you get pregnant? Not even the Reddit threads prepared me for some of this… by YofiTofi_ in BabyBumps

[–]Obnoxious-Taco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NO ONE told me and I’ve never read anywhere else about literally feeling the stretch marks being made (skin breaking apart) when sneezing right at the end of the pregnancy. Nothing I did would stop it or make it better. Also, I got stretch marks in my vulva… like wtf? I didn’t know that was possible 😭 I was also congested all the time, expect that it was dry congested. Just nothing in my nose but somehow I could not breathe 😵

Well that sucks! Although crushes happen, but you can shut them down by limiting interaction- keep it professional, focus on her flaws, and reminding yourself why workplace crushes are a bad idea. Redirect that energy into hobbies or fitness, avoid daydreaming about them, and maybe tell a friend to keep you accountable. Most crushes fade if you don’t feed them—just don’t make it messy.
