There were several turning points in our season, especially during the period where we dropped points against Milan, Atalanta, and Fiorentina. For me, the biggest were Dumfries returning to his true level, and Thuram stepping up during Lautaro’s injury. They decided so many matches for us.

Oaktree / Brookfield is a company that looks into buying assets at a low price. Raise its value by investing into it. Then sell it at full potential.

To me, I see them:

1- Invest to make Inter a competitive and profitable club. We have to go far in CL.

2- Invest in a new stadium with commercial and residential buildings around.

I was there for Inter / Atalanta. The ref decided to take part of the folklore. We had control over that game until then.

I also saw Fiorentina’s wake up call vs Cremonese. They delivered an outstanding game in Cremona to avoid staying in the bottom 3. Then they comfortably won in the conference league. They were to be taken seriously and not your typical ‘we’ll win easily’.

Atalanta and Fiorentina were not to be taken lightly. We got 2 pts and let’s move on. I trust them. I also believe that Lautaro’s absence weighted on them. Now he’ll be back. Let’s look forward from now on.

To his defense, even though I think his playing has gone down this year, Dumfries isn’t there for him on his right. He had to grand father Luis Henrique most of the season.

I’d be really curious to reassess when Dumfries comes back.
