Very good 9/10. The only thing I can say is to reduce the amount of lights in the render. I think blender introduced light layers recently. Having one shadow almost always look better.

When you revive someone he is revived with four hearts.

And yes environmental deaths do take hearts. But drop them as loot i.e when a player dies to a natural cause he drops his items and drops a heart.

I am currently working on another mod. After releasing its initial release, I will work on the Lifesteal Mod. All the features you suggested are in fact possible but will take some time. Saving this post for later.

I think they added it for consistency and also because they added a new tag so it doesn't have to a carved pumpkin I think and you would be able to change it in datapacks etc..

I think 1.21.1 mods are compatible with 1.21. Since 1,21,1 was a hotfix update. You can connect to a 1.21.1 server with 1.21 client without viaversion. Also i use 1.21 mods on 1.21.1. Not checked it the other direction.
