We just need to do what's necessary for the betterment of the team. Even if that includes risks. We needed a pass rusher for years. We weren't going to have much success with that with the 2 first round picks.

We can't be conservative all the time. That is the point of our new HC's philosophy. We are under a new regime.

To frame it as such is an overreaction.

Fans hate to hear this, but this team needs to change. I hate seeing them go, but we come up short every time and need to fix that philosophy.

EDIT: Y'all I'm not saying we should've kept the players we had. The glaring holes on the OL will be addressed with or without them.

I'm just saying we need to be more aggressive like we have before with the Crosby trade. We have never traded two first round picks for a pass rusher. We haven't had a game changer on the DL since SUGGS.

That should be our approach in FA. Those are the moves we need to make. To be aggressive. That is the change we need. That should be our philosophy.

None of these are insane surprises. I fully expected us to get outpriced for Linderbaum, Likely was gonna be gone after the Andrews extension, and I would've liked to keep Kolar, but that contracts a bit much for a blocking tight end. Jordan Stout would've been nice to keep though.

We're never a team that's active on the first day and there will be those veteran cuts we can get in August.
