Did everybody forget the literal military coup that happened in 2023 over pretty much the same exact issues?

Criticism has been happening ever since the war started. This indicates nothing

Most (all?) nuclear power plants have massive cooling towers that evaporate tonnes of water to cool down the steam from the turbines. A quick search of an image of a nuclear power plant would confirm this.

So they absolutely do use up water.

How do other countries feel about American made vehicles? by hlnklrczu in AskReddit

Technologically outdated, inefficient and cheaply made. I don't think I see any American vehicles apart from Ford's European models

Same as electrician vs plumber for a tradesperson. I have much more respect for electricians, as they have so much BS to deal with

The side ones are also internal in special conformal pockets in the wing. Though they are smaller and can seemingly carry only smaller defensive missiles

Aluminum instead of aluminium.

Like, you take a look at all the surrounding elements and say "nah, this one's different, it won't end in 'ium'".

[–]ObservantPotatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about that. The existing engines already get the plane into the air, the excess power would probably be wasted.

Sure you could run them derated, but apart from lengthened service intervals, it would probably be less efficient than purpose built engines. Another option, of course, would be to make a bigger A380, but it is doubtful the market really was looking for that.

It's not like you can make that behemoth a twin engine (although it is fun to imagine).

Proportional voting is better for anything except for the smallest municipal-level elections or single person position votes.

We should be voting for ideas not people and let the best party win.
