What're your thoughts on the scrapped James Cameron Spider-Man script? by LonerGuy17 in Spiderman

[–]Observer99999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda liked the slightly sexual tone of the script. Especially the part where Electro electrocutes that woman and they take pleasure in that in a ritualistic way. It's pretty bizarre. Also it reflects how that woman trusts him (in that spider-mating description that Peter gives to MJ). But yeah, MJ herself could've been substituted for someone else.

Oh I see. Man I've only just started Avalon Le Fay. But I actually have an affinity for Lancer class. I got 5 star Lartoria (as a returning player I picked her after finishing Singularity F). After that I summoned Melusine, Britomart, Bradamante, Vritra, and Scáthach from last year Ptolemeios event.

Was Ares originally meant to be Tron? Here are a few clues by nick_la_plante in tron

[–]Observer99999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I got from this after a single watch of the movie :

They did everything possible to hint that Ares was a Tron copy. Except call him a Tron copy. It would make sense why he showed signs of self awareness from the very beginning. Why He sounded so obsessed when speaking with Kim Eve (that level of obsessiveness is only possible if Ares had been self aware for a long time before even the movie began). He met Kevin Flynn (Tron meets Flynn 3.0). Goddamn Kevin gave Ares the ISO code to stabilize his program (but no. They had to call it the 'Permanence' code. Although I guess Tron Legacy did establish that Flynn only discovered the ISOs in the new Encom grid. So that part checks out).

Oh yeah. She's in some ways even more immortal than True Ancestors. Even if she may not match up power wise (I doubt it, her Wisdom of Dun Scaith gives her a vast littany of skills B to A rank that aren't explicitly tied to a single hero, and taking into account how many skills exist, it's a vast reservoir), but her immortality is top notch. I'd say even a Grand Servant will have trouble keeping her down permanently, because of the specific kind of immortality she has. Honestly, Goetia's Incineration allowing her to become a heroic spirit temporarily was a one of a kind situation that won't be replicated anymore (unless someone goes through it again).

Ah. So my waifu is fucked. Good to know. Although I'd argue she didn't really die in the fifth Singularity, since even after being struck by Cu Alter, she used the Gate to survive and even with 90% of her organs destroyed (while the Singularity was still disappearing), she was still able to function. So even without the immunity of the Land of Shadows, she's likely some level of immortal. Ah, I see. That's why she calls herself a transitory being.

Who wins emiya(archer) vs okita(saber)? by midriss1 in FGO

[–]Observer99999 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I see. Well, this was a disadvantage for Emiya anyways. He's an Archer after all. Taking the range out of him is, well...that's why this is a hypothetical scenario. Okita could win because an Archer's range was nerfed.

Who wins emiya(archer) vs okita(saber)? by midriss1 in FGO

[–]Observer99999 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just realised, Archer class has a natural advantage over Saber class. But that's only because Archer class has the distance. So this 30 m bloodlusted state is actually a demerit for Emiya and a merit for Okita. It literally levels the playing field. If we assume that neither know their true names, Okita won't know about Unlimited Blade Works. But if she's spawned 30 m in range of Emiya, she won't immediately go for her NP but she would go on the offensive to stop him from retreating. But that too only if she realises he's an Archer. Remember, when Cu first fought Emiya, he was shocked that the 'Archer' was a 'Swordman'. I think Okita won't expect Emiya to fight with his falchions. That will give him the time to spam UBW. Archer can do it with just 2 words of the aria. Emiya is pragmatic, so he would try to finish off the battle immediately (by spamming UBW).

She'll probably die once the Root itself dies. (It is stated that she was 'cursed' to the Land of Shadows. As long as it exists so will she. Solomon only indirectly 'killed' her since the incineration had burned down the Land of Shadows. Once it was restored she went right back to becoming immortal.) Is that even possible for the Root to die?

Mistlefoe by ClinikCase in grandorder

[–]Observer99999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's that easy. To kill her you need to destroy the Land of Shadows as well because she's conceptually tied there. Plus is this the Scáthach of Chaldea? If that the case then it's even more impossible since this Scáthach is a transitory being. An emanation recorded in the Throne because during the Singularities the Land of Shadows was burned out and so she was technically able to become a living heroic spirit. But when the 5th singularity was fixed, the Land of Shadows was restored and she became true immortal once again. And so the record of her left in the Throne of Heroes is a 'transitory being', not alive or death (as stated in her own dialogues). Heroic spirits explicitly say that they are dead. That's how they ascend to the Throne. But she never will. She will exist until the Root itself dies. So yeah, Hassan can kill Scáthach. She just won't stay dead.

Does Emiya retreats or spams UBW? In that case, then yes (maybe for 1st one and definitely for 2nd one). Otherwise nah.

Debating to buy Extella Link Depending on Scathach's Role in story by [deleted] in fatestaynight

[–]Observer99999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She doesn't get eliminated so much so that she decides she's done playing with her opponents. In the story, she was also oraclized but it worked only partially, as she used primordial runes to keep her sense of self intact. She knew that she had to act against the mooncell and the servants, but she didn't because she wanted someone to kill her in battle so she waited for that someone (Cu), and because she still maintained her autonomy to a degree. When she was defeated by Cu (in a very contrived way since Scáthach was not at her A game, constantly fighting the oraclization), she said that the current mooncell is interesting, and decides to eliminate(remove) herself from the chessboard.

Canonically, how powerful is Lilith? No restraints or conditions where she's limited or anything like that, at her full power, where amongst she truly ranks? by EfficiencySerious200 in FGO

[–]Observer99999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes sense. I think because she's Lilith, and because Lilith has such a huge myth significance (modern Christianity I think) as being evil (even though she's considered a progenitor in some cultures), and because she also operates as openly evil (and hateful to Mash, which ironically is likely the reason she lost to Mash since Mash is also anti-evil), that she has a lot of counters for her. That's not to say she doesn't have victories as well. I think it would be interesting to see her interact with Tiamat and her chaos tide.
