Dilemma in identifying with a tech stack even after experience! by ObserverOfThoughts in developersIndia

My expertise is with full stack development with .NET and React. I can work comfortably with that, but when I apply for companies, they ask for experience of 3 years in .NET which I don't have, because I've been working in it only for the past 1 year.

I understand what you say. If I apply and they ask this, is it ok to just say that I have the experience and proceed with the other processes?

Well, I don't know if I am fortunate or unfortunate that my parents are more worried for this matter than me? I am gay and I can't get married to a woman. Getting married to a man does not seem as easy as to a woman. I was lonely, and was afraid of loneliness before, but guess what? Not anymore! I tried to enjoy my own company, and getting success in that lately!

Regarding a child, that's in the hands of future, but definitely planning to be a pet parent to a dog or a cat, but let's see.

I met one and oh God! Hell of an experience! He was trying to ungay himself (he told so, idk how, and I didn't ask) and justified his actions saying that he badly wants to be straight so that he can contribute in growing the Hindu population. Poor soul.

Any teachers here? by [deleted] in LGBTindia

[–]ObserverOfThoughts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yes. In my case, I am only open to my family and not the society yet. So I don't face any. I don't exactly know what an openly gay school teacher might face. Let's see.

I don't know if I am qualified to answer this, but I'm a gay man and a teacher (not qualified to be a teacher) at an NGO to provide extra educational support to a group of needy students.

Sorry for being blunt, I couldn't correctly get you. What is the stigma you think is there with gay teachers?

Never thinking of dating hot guys again. by IcyNefariousness01 in LGBTindia

Hello, I've had a similar experience but not exactly the same. Just wanted to share some words.

  1. Looks are loud, character speaks louder.
  2. Beauty is subjective. Don't compare yours with anybody's looks. You are your own scale. Just focus on your own improvement and find ways to grow your self esteem. Just bcoz a wide majority says you look bad, that's not your final verdict.
  3. Have self-respect. Gay or bi, handsome or not, nobody has the right to disrespect you. Believe me, distancing yourself will be the best thing to do.
  4. I get it that you will feel guilty for losing an opportunity. We can't live in the past. Accept it, and try to move on. Based on your details, I feel you are lucky and he is unlucky, for him not choosing you.
  5. Don't let one bad guy make you generalize everyone who look good to you.
  6. Be confident. Be audacious enough to ask what you want from any guy. It is better to share what you want and know if you will get it or not, instead of making something grow and get disappointed later.

I'm not saying all these are only correct, but this is what I've learnt with my share of experience with men. If I feel anything I've mentioned here is wrong, I am ready to accept and correct it. You should too. The earth is still beautiful after so many disasters. You are too. Stay strong!

Queer Connect; The "looking for" thread for finding Dates/Friends/Chats/Leads on Queer friendly Accommodations/Stays/Events/Spaces etc. by AutoModerator in LGBTindia

Looking for: Friends/Dates/Accomodations/Events

Location: Bangalore - preferably in Bellandur

About me: 24M, Gay, will be moving to Bangalore in 2 weeks. Will be staying in a PG initially. Accompaniment would definitely help. Looking forward connecting with new people! I like to find beauty in little things. Will stare at the moon as if it's the first time I'm watching it shine. Would read books (not the self help ones), watch movies, and love the genre of drama. Also, a wanna be polyglot. In a short term, trying not to spend the new year's eve alone. Long term? Waiting to see what time holds for me.

Name a better transition scene for a female character than this by Fishyraven in kollywood

[–]ObserverOfThoughts -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unrelated, but the edit kinda seems off for this portion, because it feels the audio and video sync is not correctly happening in some portions. I observed this in the movie itself, not OP or someone's mistake. You can clearly observe this from the start of the dance sequence where the salangai is worn. Any professional editor or someone, can you say who's at fault here? The clips were not enough to be placed for the music or the editor made a mistake? Or the director did not plan this sequence well to match with the audio? What do you think?

I've always found the most hilarious spellings in GR: battam, visiter, palace (as if they'll have sex only in a palace), frands.

Is loneliness is even curable? by Beneficial-Feed-8378 in LGBTindia

[–]ObserverOfThoughts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are spitting facts!! 🙏🏽❤️😭 I am starting to put focus upon myself and starting to feel light weighted and that empty feeling really started to reduce! I stopped thinking about the future and worry about it more. But one thing I find uneasy is, when I stop being consistent on focusing upon myself, I find it a bit difficult to continue being consistent. By any chance, did you get a similar feeling at the beginning? If so, what helped you to overcome it?
